Wing Loong can provide the much needed solution for southern border against militants and it can provide moderate CAS to our strike columns. I really hope Chinese come up with air to air missile capability in their drones which might replace point defence fighters in near future.

Great! Even if it is only say 80% as good as Predator it is just a quarter of the price, so we are getting decent numbers. 50 will allow at least 10 in constant orbit by the border.....
dont see much advantage against India as pakistan can no where gets air dominance near India...
may be good for fight against insurgencies ... but still too costly in my opinion...
and dont see chinese ones having near capability of a matured US system .. not in engines, sensors or weapons..

Does not need to be US standard, and if you understood how UAVs were used it is not about air dominance, events in Azerbajan proved this.
These will be great in taking out positions along the LOC during early start of war, India will need to defend against them which will take up resources, additionally if we lose one it is only $1 million and no pilot to worry about.
That is where the effectivness is.

Grow up a it more before posting any articles or you are devoid of sanity. A bullet is a bullet regardless of which ever gun its fired from same applies to other weapons and they are designed tested and bought and sold for a purpose before they go through quality control. India is not some mother superior its just like any other 3rd world country and am sure it will be a music to your ears.

although this number about wing long 1 has been widely spread through social media but there is no confirmation from our official about the pricing, but wing loong 2 certainly cost much much more than a million.
taking out targets along LOC ... why need drones when same can be done using Anti Tank Missiles/Artillery or quick commando action...
drones also need to be close to LOC to take out the target which also puts then in enemy radars and fighters or sams can very easily engage these sub sonic aircrafts...
I dont think LOC has much use of drones only way they will be effective is if some how PAF has total area dominance like they have taken out all SAM batteries and IAF in that area.. drones can work but I dont see that happening even if positions and resources are reversed for both militaries...
only things Drones are good in Indian or Pakistani case is to be used for recce or strikes on insurgents ... India will buy US drones pretty sure they will do some recce staying well inside Indian border against both china and pakistan and if Indian drones crosses border can easily be taken down I think chinese took out one Indian UCAV similar to US predator with ease in near Bhutan Tibet border...
all SAMs, Fighters counter them with ease... its not a thing India needs to worry about ...

You are comparing man portable ATGM and static artillery with a drone that can fly miles in the sky, search and acquire multiple moving targets and then rain down several long range missiles to destroy them?
Wing Long will be able to track and designate targets miles into Indian territory.
As you admit, to counter them you will need more SAMs and Fighters. So for relatively small cost to Pak India forced to deploy expensive assets. This is why it is such a good move
