India drubs Pakistan to enter semis

I say there's no talent in SouthAsia.... they were all Punjabis....... from both sides.

huh??, hasan sardar sohail abbas and samiullah were not punjabis???

the thing is in pakistan, the maximum investment goes to punjabis and punjabis are prefered over other ethnicities in sports..

congrats to indian team for winning cheers to pakistani players for playing good..

No need to creat mess guys it is just a game, one team has to win and other has to loss....

well played both teams..

Abay yaar yh hockey team ko dismantle ker do, hockion ki bajaye jharo pakra do inko.

Koi baat nai haar jeet khel ka hissa hota hai, hockian hi rehnay do hathon mein.

It is not opinion i spoke of composition of south indians in Indian hockey team which is 0/0.

The Official Website of the 16th Asian Games

are you sayin there is no south Indian in Indian hockey team ??

Arjun Halappa, the best midfielder in our hockey team.
vikram Pillay, another Mid fielder who played briliantly today.

both are south indian. you want to know more about others players who are not fro Punjab I can give you the list..but dont comment without knowing.

Congrats to Indian team.

Sad to see the negligence in the media as well as in the public about such games and sports other than cricket. :hitwall: We need long way to go.

BTW I think many Indian hockey teams had many renowned players from south like Dhanraj Pillai.

Congrats to the Indian team !!!

But today's match lacked the aggression that we had seen in the CWG clash, to put it bluntly - was outright boring.

Yes south India has always been producing world class hockey players, just like punjabi players...Dhanaraj was probably the best player (IMO) after Dhyanchand, that India has produced.

other famous players were Vasudevan Bhaskaran from chennai,
Jude Felix from Bangalore and Sabu Varkiy from Kerala..they were all former captains..even recently, there were many players, i dont remember the names but one I liked was Len Aiyappa.

Hockey certainly has a future in India. We just need more vision and planning in internalizing our national sport. The idea is not to compete with cricket, but to make an alternative base of fans. To start with, we need to revive the Premier Hockey League. That will bring enthusiasm, talent and money into the sport.

A gold assures the winning team of a berth in the Olympics. That is what we should aim for. Biggest stumbling block would be the South Koreans.

One player from south and he is captain automatically.

That was unfair, and i hope similar discrimination is not practiced against Punjabis, any more.

Punjab de ballay ballay.

Actually, we love discriminating against Punjabis - we really get a kick out of it. So don't think that is going to stop.
