India removes restriction on air space usage

These airspace sanctions should remain against India for at least, another 6months. There is no benefit or value, to Pakistan of lifting them. If Pakistan, decides to at some point lift them, then they must be in return for something..

f--- good will and all that to India. Something concrete must be offered in return.

Until then, it is a constant reminder of the folly of their hubris and arrogance!

Modi ji and his bhkats must have licked the Pakistani ball (which Pakistan rolled into Indian courts ) before rolling it back because all these times they're trying to convince themselves that restriction have no or minor effect on them and Pakistan will blink first and will unilaterally open space. Anyway I will still insist that we must blacklist Indian airlines and open airspace for rest of world to kick Indian airlines out of business as far as flights from northern India to westward are concerned.

Now is the time for Pakistan to keep India under pressure by refusing to lift space restrictions.

Does Pakistan has guts to continue blocking air space ?

We will get that answer in a fortnight :close_tema:

Why do we need to?

India already bent and bent first!

Its like a game of Chicken, you don't keep playing when the other guy (india) already chickened out:lol:

It is not a question of guts, restricting air space to civilian air traffic is a wasteful exercise. All it does is to cause inconvenience to the passengers & added fuel cost to the airlines ( often passed on to the travelers in the form of increases air ticker cost). One could understand if it only applied to the national airlines of Indian & Pakistan but why inconvenience nationals of foreign countries as well?

IMO such actions, especially if applied unilaterally, only serve to annoy international travelers thus adversely affecting the goodwill they felt towards Pakistan. Even in the case of the national airlines, one is in effect inconveniencing the nationals only not the gov't. My problem is with the Modi Sarkar, not with the man on the street.

For those who bring religion into it, I would point out that India is home to more than 200-million Muslims, banning Pakistani airspace to Indian civilian aircraft would hurt a lot of Muslim travelers as well.

lol india blinks first.

lol prime example of dil behlana :D .

ab baniye ki jaib tak baat agai to baniye bilbila gaya :).

Jeb par to baat pehle hi aa gayi this. But we could handle that. We were waiting for the elections to get over and the atmosphere to become safe.

If you want to see this as India's weakness and not a peace gesture, be my guest.

it is more about controlling the events. Pakistan used to be in control of situation before Modi. Now it is India which is calling the shots

true. But stopping transit routes to landlocked Afghanistan is also a wasteful exercise.

And the shot india is calling is to bend down and hope Pakistan opens its airspace

It will be done by 16th. That is calling shots

Sure, but now that india has already broken why would we needlessly keep it closed

It would be just hitting a beaten indian dog for nothing

But many Pakistanis feel that closing air space is hurting India economically.

In fact opening air space is the last thing which Pakistan will agree to. Unless it doesn't want to keep India under pressure anymore or it is dying for having a dialogue. The other leverage which Pakistan is still using is the refusal of land transit route to Afghanistan.

Well if Pakistan follows suit and lifts airspace restriction like a little love sick puppy, it will be a great embarrassment. I am specially concerned with the submissive attitude of IK. I hope this guy IK does not take a one-sided Clownish action and opens the airspace. Let these low life indians suffer for few more months.

Sure in a tit for tat measure but now india has been bought to heel

The delusions indians held have been well and truley smashed

Land transit carries too much risk

But now india has bowed to pressure I dont see opening air transit as a big deal, as long as india has got the message
