LOL @Burhan Wani now you can buy fully auto assault rifle and if you caught maximum punishment would be Namaz which we already praying everyday.

I am a responsible citizen of my country and i will not acquire any type of weapon without licence. :)
But what precedence the honorable judge set? don't you think it will encourage people to have an un licensed weapons, further we must need to challenge this decision because in any other case judge announce sentence of 7 years for having illegal weapon and defender could gave this case example and demand same punishment (which is legal to gave example of other cases and demand same judgment).

No doubt a unique punishment , but it is far better than putting him in jail .

Circumstances matter alot when making decision in cases.

If you imprison a resident of Pakistan who is only earning member of his Family and his children, parents are completely dependent on him then you are not ruining his life but all of his family members.
Secondly i am against ban on Arms due to it's tremendous benefits. For example in Tribal belt no one can invade them because weapon is a part of their culture if same culture were adopted by Kashmiris when Kashmir was a part of Durrani empire then current condition of Kashmir could be different. Either independent state or a part of Pakistan.

Refer to the holy verse of Quran:

Al Anfal 8:60

And prepare against them whatever you are able of power and of steeds of war by which you may terrify the enemy of Allah and your enemy and others besides them whom you do not know [but] whom Allah knows. And whatever you spend in the cause of Allah will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.

You can have weapon but with license and having an illegible weapons is a crime and if a breadwinner of the family commits a crime he should also be punished, law should be applied to all equal.

Law should be respected only if applied on every one and have benefits. If country cannot provide security to it's citizen then there should be some relaxation for weapon procurement.
I am not against Licences but the process to get Prohibited bore licence is completely political. Only MNA have authority to provide PB licences and condition of our political establishment is in front of you.

They don't have qoata anymore but can have guards from security companies with P.B weapons.

Why is so much lawlessness in Pakistan because we all love to break the law, starts from morning by jumping red lights, not following traffic Sargent and end our day by breaking law by attending weddings after prescribed time (10 P.M).

Security companies can have sophisticated equipment if and only if they have approach and links. Just visit Gujrat and Gujar Khan people have stunning weapons even our Darra boys never saw during their life span same condition for Quetta.

Some areas are wild wild west of Pakistan but I maintain my point every body should have right to defend himself with licensed weapons and there should be firing ranges for those who wants to enjoy their weapons safely.

Agreed.
But every one cannot afford quality weapons due to sales tax and breath taking prices. A 4 Lac Rs Glock , 4.5 Lac Rs H&K is not affordable by an average citizen.

Buy POF made weapons even I own one .30 Darra made pistol 14 +1 round double stack magazine with stainless steel barrel, man normal .30 kicks / jerks very well but this pistol's recoil is very very low, wants to say some local made weapons are also very good.

I bought it only rs 2500 + my 7 round Darra made Pistol back in 2005.

They are good but not comparable with H&K, Beretta and Glocks.
