Israel imposes partial arms embargo on Turkey

Let issuing an embargo on Turkey aside, Even If Israel wants to make something about defence trade and cooperation, Turkey will never order anything from Israel anymore Because,

*Heron Male UAV Program - Delayed more than 3 years and can not carry Aselsan AselFlir-300 T E/O eyes at 30000ft altitude so Israel has punished by Turkish SSM...

*M-60 SABRA Modernization- Delayed more than 2 years and have met lots of vibration problems. Turkish institues have solved the problems and finally finished in this year. Israel has punished cause of long delays...

*Israel navigation-targetting Pods - Turkish Air Forces did not satisfied with capability level of those Pods so Turkey has ordered USA Sniper Pods for New F-16's...

I thought they fixed the vibration issue on the M-60Ts it was from the engine wasn't it ? Causing the fire control to screw up.

That being said i have also noticed an increase in problems when dealing with Israeli arms.

Yes, It was solved. The reason of problems was not clear. Some officials told that The reason of vibration is the pallets so National designed pallets have been integrated on M-60T's. Some of them told that Engine causes the vibrations and The latest problem of M-60T's were reverse gears..

Maybe Israel will show interest in the Altay haha.

They have imposed an embargo on Turkey for their IFV'S too... Hahahah !!! :)

They suppose that We will beg Israel to sell their IFV's, While a state of art AIFV has been on development phase on FNSS institues !!! :)

From the time this Islamist Govt. came to power in turkey its trying to take turkey into the middle ages.
Its going away from Kamal Ataturks vision of modern Secular Turkey.

Why Israel Has Cut Off Turkish Arms Supplies

April 23, 2010: Israel has refused to sell Turkey anti-tank missiles, armored personnel carriers and naval anti-aircraft missile systems. Israel is completing earlier Turkish purchases of weapons, but will not sell new ones because of the growing anti-Israel attitudes of the Turkish government.

The Islamic politicians now running Turkey are trying to overcome objections by their own military, and cut all military cooperation with Israel. The Islamic politicians want to do this to improve their stature in the Islamic world. The military wants to maintain the relationships because it increases Turkish combat power. This is seen as important, given the growing ambitions of neighboring Iran, and the possibility that Iran will soon have nuclear weapons, and more confidence about threatening Turkey. The Turks and Iranians have been rivals, and often at war, for over a thousand years. But now Turkey is cozy with Iran, and it is feared that Iran would be given Israeli military equipment for examination.

Despite all this, Israel and Turkey continue to cooperate in some areas. For example, Israel recently thanked Turkey for assistance in preventing Hezbollah from attacking Jews in Turkey. There are several Islamic radical groups operating in Turkey, and their terror attacks (usually against government targets) make the public angry, and nervous about their safety. Israel and Turkey continue to cooperate in tracking Islamic terrorists, and sharing information. Turkish Islamic politicians are willing to continue with this, as long as it is kept quiet. Similar arrangements have long been maintained between Israel and many Islamic nations.

Since the 1990s, when Turkish Islamic political parties began winning elections (on the promise of using Islam to cure problems with corruption and economic stagnation), these Islamic parties became more powerful. By 2002, Islamic parties were running the government, and made good on their pledge to improve the economy. But they also became anti-Israel, and now Israel has responded by cutting off the supply of military gear. Turkey can buy similar stuff elsewhere, but loses the advantage of having a neighbor, with a strong military, as an ally.

@Adolf

There is only one truth that is Israel has failed that they have gotten project as tank modernization and UAV's !!!

This are just israel's excuses... They know if other costumers of israel know this problems and israel's behavior, they will not trade with them ... so they are trying cover their mistakes up with these excuses ...
