Pakistanis with dual citizenship are forbidden to run for public office,[4][5] sit in the assemblies, contest elections or join the Pakistani military.[6] On 20 September 2012, the Supreme Court of Pakistan disqualified eleven lawmakers including Interior Minister Rehman Malik for failing to disclose their dual nationalities upon taking office.[7] The proposed 21st Amendment to the Constitution of Pakistan would have allowed dual citizens to hold public office and contest elections, but the amendment never passed.[8] On 16 December 2013, the Senate of Pakistan unanimously passed "The Civil Servants (Amendment) Bill, 2013", aimed at barring the civil servants of BPS-20 and above to have dual nationality. The bill will then be debated in the National Assembly of Pakistan. If it is passed there, it would then be implemented as an Act after the President of Pakistansigns it.[9]

I know Rauf Klasra personally and he is working for Malik Riaz (MR). He considers him the saviour of humanity. In fact, his career depends on MR as he not only bribes him like many other journalists but he is his main info supplier...all the reports and news RK shares is given to him by MR's sources like given to Najam Sethi and other. Arshad Sharif is a cheap and immoral creature and his scandals will come to forefront soon.

Clearly special assistants and advisors do not fall under any of the mentioned categories. It is more like appointing coaches for teams in different sports. Though I think, dual nationals are the bread winners of this poor country so they should be allowed to contest in election and hold certain public offices. That will in fact, help Pakistan as these guys have skills and knowledge which the nationals lack.

but what if special assistant status is equal to Minister Of State....
I support overseas Pakistanis to be allowed to contest elections....
