Yoga is for rich, lazy people who don't have time for exercise: Karnataka Min.

I have played yoga yoga for a few years before reaching to this conclusion. It is more about placebo than anything else and now with a Hindutvawadi ultra nationalistic government, it is being promoted as a 'cure of all' type thingy, which it is anything but.

Weight is not lost or maintained by asans, but through achieving a balance between calorie intake and burning of consumed calories. There is an entire science behind nutrition, exercise, and health whereas behind yoga, there are only stories and superstitious beliefs.

so the science has worked for nearly all people loosing weight?

You practised yoga for years and now tell its a superstitious, this itself prove that you are a No.1 lier

I used to stand in reverse for sometime as part of my daily work out... One of my colleague told me that is called sirasana which is part of yoga, and advised to not continue this, as it will give a huge strain on our brain.... Since he was practicing yoga from his childhood and completed many courses in that, in yoga this is a step by step process which will take minimum 2years to reach this level. But on my own i know, i become more comfortable to stand in reverse within a month. For last 4years i am doing this, I didn't felt any bad thing due to this.

While jogging in the early morning during my initial days, i was breathing heavily through my mouth. One day an old man stopped me, and he hold my left hand fore finger and my thumb, which was pressing each other. Then i felt a sudden ease in breathing, after that my breath was normal. He told some name for that, I forgot that. Just keep pressing your left hand thumb and forefinger, you will feel real ease in breathing.

Take whatever suits you and leave the rest.

i acknowledge that there will be some useful parts, just like any other form of exercise, which are suitable to certain people or certain situations... but promoting it as a supreme "spiritual" awakening procedure is what gets it the hate and the laughs... i think you will understand. :)

I don't see yoga from spiritual pov, in my view its a kind of exercise... thats it....
