The "?" in the title shows that it is for people to decide for themselves philosophically as well as legally whether this is a genocide - it is an invite for a debate. I don't hate China or Chinese people - if anything, I felt it is the duty of every Indian to help our Chinese brothers take baby steps toward democracy and freedom.

First give freedom to the Dalits, Sikhs, Tanils and the 200 million Muslims. There are 34 ethnic groups that are demanding their independence from the tyrants in New Delhi.

India is a monarchy. Nehru, Indira, Rajiv, Sonia, Rahul. What a 'democracy', the same family ruling a country . So much so that a white woman was put in charge of a billion Indians because she was married into the ruling family.

There is little land area to house these people. India already cannot support its 1.2 billion population with only 1/3 the land area of China. Overpopulation is a global problem. Actually Japan, SK and most of Europe are more densely populated than China. The Chinese government relied on psydo science that somehow by reducing the population, productivity would go up. However, that policy was implemented back in 80s and now it's very very hard to change the policy due to various interest groups that benefit from this policy. You know that in a big country like China, it takes enormous efforts to change any policy now matter how wrong that policy is.

As for India's population, that's for India to decide and you are not in the position to "predict" the future. In fact, China will go aging before "overly" populated to unbearable degree.

Actually during 1977 people were forcibly sterilized by Sanjay Gandhi during the Emergency to check population growth. There was a minor revolution and soon Sanjay Gandhi and Indira Gandhi found themselves not only voted out of power but also cooling their heels in jail. Anyhow, this is about China's abortions not India's overpopulation. Let's not derail this thread.
