Too much leniency by Britian on muslim extremism and liberalism. They need to try harder to integrate Muslims or their are gonna be mini Iraqs in every corner.

The situation of the "Muslims" wasn't helped when half a million asylum seekers, refugees etc were allowed to settle during Blair's time. 47.2% only born in the UK, are you kidding me! I'm surprised these indicators are not lower, considering from where many of the new arrivals come from e.g. Somalia.

If you look at the two largest groups (Pakistanis and Bangladeshis), things are improving at quite a good rate.

• Pakistani and Bangladeshi men have seen large falls in unemployment over the period 1991 to 2011 (respectively from 25% to 10% and from 26% to 11%), but unemployment rates for both these groups remain much higher than for White men.

Pakistani and Bangladeshi women were the least likely to be in the labour market, but also experienced the highest rises in rates of economic activity between 1991 and 2011 (from 24% to 43% for Pakistani women and from 17% to 40% for Bangladeshi women).

The Bangladeshi and Pakistani groups saw the greatest improvement in educational attainment with a 19 and 16 percentage point decrease respectively in those without any qualifications.

The largest improvements between 1991 and 2011 were for the Indian and Pakistani groups, which experienced an increase in those with degree level qualifications by 27 and 18 percentage points respectively (Figure 4).

There has been a substantial reduction in the proportion of the Bangladeshi (9 percentage points) and Pakistani (6 percentage points) groups that live in a deprived neighbourhood since 2001 (Figure 1).

Of course there's still a long way to go. I have no idea bout all these new groups than came in the last 10 years though like Afghans, Iraqis, Somalis etc.

I worry about the UK because of the attitude of its Muslim population. They are becoming a threat to the otherwise excellent multi-cultural face the UK has.

What's wrong with Muslims attitude? I have always found hindus the worst.

^ This 150%, majority of "Muslims" who are creating problems are the same people who fled their countries "problems" under the guise of "asylum". They don't integrate, they don't educate and only segregate. They are a major reason why there is such a backlash against Muslims in Britain and Europe, this was never the case in the 80's, 90's and even the early 2000's.

I'm afraid it has had a major impact. For example the biggest cause of radicalisation was when foreign preachers like Omar Bakri, Abu Hamza, Abu Qutahdah and Sheikh Faisal were allowed to settle here and preach.

Absolutely sir, I actually wrote a paper about this for a course I was doing last year and I am in agreement that the UK Immigration Service did not carry out any due diligence on people it was letting in. I am not blaming the UK Immigration service, part blame also on Muslim communities traditionally prevalent in the UK had a duty to report the "rotten apples", but this culture of silence is very dangerous!

I loved the Arabic community in London back in the 80's and 90's, it had such a charm to it and now even my beloved edgeware road has a somewhat "french" run down getto look to it . Also I have very fond memories of the blended asian communities in the North of England, but all that has changed and if you examine it closely one thing that is worrying is the rise of north-African, Arabic and Somali hard liners that have created this very acerbic culture.

Seriously? East London for a start, I am a Muslim and I felt insecure out there. Hate speech is rampant all over, the streets and stations smell of urine and chances are you will get your cellphone snatched or stabbed at the very least. If the occasional skinheads on the overground bothered people before, the now evident brown folk with big beards and constantly judging beady eyes make venturing beyond Towerhill/Aldgate after sundown scary.

Sounds like your describing a dystopian version of 1980's new york, London isnt attractive atall to me but its still a great city for the neutral. Hate speech isnt really rampant, its there but its not rampant, skinheads?! there is an occasional march of a few hundred men which generally come from all over the UK but what country doesent have a right wing, atleast ours dont murder. Far to many dodgy immigrants though, especially in the areas you mentioned and most are as usual "sub saharan" and even if muslim are often on drugs or drunk, if it were up to me I would chop London off because of the filth of all varieties and cultures that it has but its also populous and thus wealthy and provides for alot of other parts of the UK, I would take a rural life myself and stay settled on on the west of the Island away from English gaze.
