I respect Indian flag and Indian flag looking good on that building.
But for UAE, why you are acting like this? Did we tell UAE guys to send their zero meter soldiers ti Yemen?
What I, being a Pakistani, am feeling is : UAE is over reacting.
It is YOU who are over reacting they are simply doing fine and what serve there interest well..

.
We have put some bucket of water and BURNOL at the international border, kindly consider it as an Aid and use it wherever applicable

May be they are busy with the cream packet and bucket of water we gave them at the border.
Such comments are degrading, and has no other purpose than to mock others.
I suggest to avoid such insulting comments.

. .
That's a typical Baniya style hug, like when you meet a new business partner. lol

But otherwise too we Indians luv giving hugs. It's more of a North Indian thing.
I know this style of Indians while i was in UAE and in KSA but Modi has some uniqueness 8-) wherever he goes and whoever he meets. He perfectly knows where the camera is..

.
If I could, I would grab the Pakistani's who sing songs about these GCC people by the neck and drag them to the Republic Day Parade in New Delhi, India to see the Arabs marching and saluting Modi Jee. Then I would grab and to see Burj Khalifa emblazoned with the flag of their enemy India in heart of UAE.

And I know their apologists are going to consult the book of 101 excuses like 'oh it's only a parade' - ignoring that it means a lot. When few Russian soldiers trained in Pakistan (let alone march down Islamabad on Defence Day) half of Pakistan was in state of sexual climax.

The other excuse will be 'oh we did not send soldiers to Yemen'. Right so how many soldiers has India sent to Yemen or how many wil she send? Zero. In short Pakistan has to spill blood of it's jawans for these GCC people to accord respect?

But India gets the full Modi Jeee treatment free of cost while also enjoying having the largest number of Indians employed in GCC and making sending huge remittances to India.

At least this event might shake a few Paks into getting their thinking cleared out. I have been saying this for years at PDF but got constantly rebuked.
you dare question pakistan's brotherly relations with the gcc? :o: blastphemy
:astagh:

.
Pak government will do this (below) like it does usually when something like this happens. Think after OBL raid.

*If Pakistani's learns a lesson from this - about something called 'self interest' then this event might be a great thing but question is will Pakistan introspect and learn from this?

"states have no friends and no permanent enemies" just shifting demands of "self interest".
Self-Esteem for yourself or for your nation/country...What iqbal used to say...Our Politicians lack this..Only hope is IK as this guy hold this quality..
It is to blame our-self not GCC ..They are just doing fine and doing what is good to them..Paksitan should do the same.

.
And I am frankly enjoying this. On two occasions on matters relating to 'A-rabs' I have been proven right.

(1) That Gen. Raheel Sharif would not end up as Chief of the Islamic Alliane force.
(2) GCC favours India as is evident by the huge disparity in number of Indian's employed by Arab countries compared to Pakistani thereby pulling the rug under the claim that GCC has some especial regard for Pakistan.

This proves my point. Yes, Arabs do have special friendships with some elites in Pakistan that they have bought out but that is not a institutional relationship between two states. It's private friendship that involves bailing them out not helping Pakistan.

It is to blame our-self not GCC
I am not blaming GCC. If you read my posts before I quoted in bold print

"self interest"

However Pakistani's don't follow 'self interest' when it comes to GCC/Arabs. Suddenly they go all ummah chummah and jiggy like prophet(pbuh) has arrived. Mention 'Arab' to Pakistani and this is what happens. It's like a kid who has seen icecream with strawberry juice dribbling on it.

When is Pakistani's going to recognize Islam does not equal Arabs. Pakistani's have to look at GCC strictly as a business relationship like GCC does with Pakistan. Then everything is fine.

But you know Pakistani's don't look at GCC through the prism of self interest.

Currently reading: Republic Day special: World’s tallest building Burj Khalifa to illuminate in Indian tricolour
#Republic Day, #Burj Khalifa
India TV News Desk, Dubai [Published on:25 Jan 2017, 18:38:23]

Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, would light up tonight in tri-colours - saffron, white and green - to mark the 68th Republic Day of India.

"Tonight we celebrate Indias 68th Republic Day with a spectacular LED illumination of the Indian National flag on #BurjKhalifa! #India," the official Twitter account of Burj Khalifa tweeted in both English and Arabic languages.

The visual expression of the tri-colours underlined the solidarity of the UAE and its people with India, with which the nation shares strong cultural and trade ties.

At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200 plus storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world.. Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the UAE.

What makes this year's celebrations even more special is Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is attending the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi as chief guest.

Why suddenly Arab started flirting with Indian? Have they ever illuminated any iconic Arab structure with Pakistani color? :P
;)

Hehehe
I'm telling you- we Indians are good at business and that's why wherever you go you will find Indians.

About the camera angle- well it's good to be self conscious. Atleast the man seems to be using technology to his benefit and that too at the age of 60(or more than that). Credit where it's due.
This has worked in our favour, he dreams of making us a cashless economy, and wants to connect villages and cities with internet. It helps to have such a PM. Don't you think?

@Robinhood Pandey @Blue Marlin I found a FB video of the Burj Khalifa displaying Indian flag. Posted in OP now.

I don't think Burj Khalifa has displayed Pakistani flag ever.
Our new found bonhomie with GCC is not new really, we have been trading with them since last 4000years. Yep!
Even when IVC/SSC was at its peak Arabs came to India.

.
Many years ago I had a friend who had sold out his brother in a business venture. My dad disapproved of this friend and warned me against him. I remember him saying "son you can't trust a man who dumped his own brother'. Later te basket did me in. Well KSA and wider GCC have sold out Palestinian's for the sake of US friendship and Western economic benefits. Considering how wealthy they are how much have they done for Palestine?

In West Bank the Palestinians have waved Iraqi flags when Saddam fired Scuds againat Israel or Turkish flags when Erdogan slapped Isreali PM Peres. But never do they fly KSA flags because they know them. If GCC can dump Palestinian's what are Pakistani?

And where are all the Pak Arabphiles? Seem to be conspiciously absent from this thread. And somebody thank Levina for this great thread. I can't because she is still sore at me.

@Khafee

One of the world most iconic building and a signature for United Arab Emirates carrying the Indian flag with pride. What a slap in the face for Pakistan. Ummah got flushed down the toilet.

The illumination will be held on January 25, a day prior to India's Republic Day, as well as on January 26.
Global developer Emaar Properties joined the UAE in celebrating India's 68th Republic Day celebrations with a spectacular illumination of the iconic Burj Khalifa with the colours of the Indian national flag.

The visual expression of the tri-colours underlined the solidarity of the UAE and its people with India, with which the nation shares strong cultural and trade ties. The illumination will be held on January 25, a day prior to India's Republic Day, as well as on January 26.

The LED show will be at 6:15pm, 7:15pm and 8:15pm on both days with The Dubai Fountain performance complementing the grand illumination.

This year's celebration is even more special with His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, attending the Republic Day celebrations in New Delhi as chief guest. His Highness is leading a high-level delegation of ministers, senior officials and entrepreneurs to the country.

Emaar Properties has significant presence in India, one of its key international markets. The company had recently restructured its operations in the country to drive its ongoing developments and explore new growth opportunities.

At 828 metres (2,716.5 ft), the 200 plus storey Burj Khalifa has 160 habitable levels, the most of any building in the world.
