China needs to beat US in the Olympic Games, in 2021 Summer Olympic Games China lost to US by just one gold, in 2022 Winter Olympic Games China beat US by one gold, all in all, it's a tie now.

Sour grape the finest, US is the God father of doping, China is never in the same league.
If US wins,it's normal and natural, it China wins, it must be doping and cheating. US is declining for a reason, this mentality plays a big part.

Its legalized doping as the governing body of different sports from different countries can register their athletes for various "conditions" that require medications. The most influential of these governing bodies gets to have the largest slots for such athletes. Just take a look at how many athletes in the US team has "natural heart disease" and other "conditions".
Also explains why China dominates the diving medals as doping in that sport doesn't help.
