BENGALURU: A 22-year-old woman suspected to have instigated the arson attack on 42 buses of a Tamil Nadu-based operator in Bengaluru last week was allegedly offered Rs 100 and a plate of biryani to join the protests over Cauvery water-sharing+ .

C Bhagya is one of 11 people arrested for the September 12 attack. The suspects have been accused of dousing the crew of the KPN fleet with diesel and threatening to burn them. It was on account of CCTV footage from the yard where the buses were parked, as well as mobile phone videos filmed by the crew, that police suspected Bhagya to be the agent provocateur.

However, Bhagya's mother Yellamma has told the media that her daughter was offered Rs 100 and a plate of mutton biryani by "friends" to join the protests.

She is just a facade for some rival bus operators. If you think some one is going to burn 42 buses just for 100 bucks , good luck with your wonderful biased logic. Even stealing a 2 or 3 litre of fuel will fetch that money.

May be because most Indian Muslims are poor. So how many TaTa and Bata have you seen Muslims there? Muslims hardly even make up indian middle income class in india let alone the upper income category.

There was no mention anywhere here questioning the existence of Pakistan. It proves nothing except for your own insecurity. Indians, Bangladeshis, Nepalese etc. do not go around making "gotcha!!!" assertions validating their nations' existence.

You have rightly mentioned the Sachar Committee Report and it's findings about the deplorable condition of Indian Muslims. However, Muslims tend to be at the lower end of the socio-economic spectrum in most countries where they are a minority. Large family sizes, lack of education and ghettoization are the defining characteristics of Muslim minorities in most countries.

Surely, not all of that is a conspiracy....

Pakistan was created because it was clear that Muslims in the subcontinent would be discriminated against, by the majority hindu population, in a unified India.

By the way, Bangladesh's government has been doing exactly that, in recent years, and Nepal has been trying to tell India that it will no longer just be a puppet; even with the new leadership, ties with India are unlikely to recover, because India has been playing the "gotcha" game with them.
