'Will not resign on anyone's call': PM dismisses demands to step down

Ns should resign. At least on Office should be left without controversy and keel its full dignity.

I honestly thought that the game was over after the model town incident and the dharna, but yet, PMLN had prevailed. I guess PMLN intend to weather through the storm which can either make or break the nation.

Personally, it is best to let Nawaz Sharif completes his term and be done with it like Zardari or otherwise he will be back for another term somewhere in the nearest future like the past because Nawaz Sharif didn't complete his first two terms either due to military takeover which gave in to the political propagandas to prepare for PMLN to comeback.

People forgot why the military takeover happened which is normally the case if the democratically elected government cannot be trusted despite being prepared by the establishment in the first place. Similarity, if Nawaz Sharif is forced out, then in the nearest future, people will forget why he was forced out in the first place, and he will be welcomed once again. In fact, he will be PM for the fourth term due to not able to complete his first three terms if Nawaz Sharif is forced out for the third time.

When i say stability, this is one of main reasons. It is imperative that Nawaz Sharif completes his term unscathed. Or otherwise, people memory is short which will lead to history repeats itself. I was glad that Zardari was given the complete term to rule to ensure that the process of the system went smoothly with Zardari removed from the future of being consideration for the power.

If Nawaz Sharif is forced out, then he will be back and elect by the people that elected him thrice in the first place. Pakistan establishment know that, hence playing safe like they did with Zardari to ensure any door for the future for Nawaz Sharif is closed indefinitely. I suspect Nawaz Sharif might be able to complete the term or i hope so for the sake of the stability and the long-terms for Pakistan.

But it is hard to explain the definition of stability and long-term to Imranistan. :(

Imranistan hasn't understood out why Zardari and Nawaz Sharif came to the powers in the first place. Normally, Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was made hero thanks to poor handling by Pakistan establishment. Not to mention, exit strategy deal between Musharraf and Zardari which put imprisoned Zardari on the powers to ensure the exit strategy deal went smoothly for Musharraf.

Secondly, Nawaz Sharif was the product of Pakistan establishment which didn't work well in the first two terms between Nawaz Sharif and Pakistan establishment.

Even for the third time, military takeover was almost happened put to rest due to understanding between General Raheel and Nawaz Sharif because General Raheel understood the real implication for undermining the democracy system which will definitely test the patience of the nation. So naturally, General Raheel chose lesser evil which was power-sharing agreement that allowed Pakistan establishment to govern the foreign policy while PMLN governs the local politics and the economy. That is why it never made sense for PMLN to have foreign minister since the influence over foreign policy was conceded to Pakistan establishment.

Military takeover for the third time didn't happen because Nawaz Sharif was willing to compromise with Pakistan establishment to let foreign policy in exchange for the powers to rule the nation economically. But Imran Khan is egocentric who was testing the patience of Pakistan establishment for years due to Imran Khan's pro-stances on Indian-funded Afghan-based Terrorist-outfit aka TTP. For egocentric bipolar man-child like Imran Khan, Pakistan establishment will never let that happen. Pakistan establishment would rather work with puppet that doesn't threaten to undermine the foreign policy of Pakistan establishment than egocentric man-child like Imran Khan that can be unpredictable in nature translates unreliable for Pakistan establishment.

At the end, it is Pakistan establishment's call. I have feeling that Nawaz Sharif might be able to weather this storm like the past. I doubt Pakistan establishment would risk Nawaz Sharif being forced out nearing the election only for Nawaz Sharif to regroup in the nearest future. If Nawaz Sharif is forced out, then military takeover is on the card because of the historical patterns. Anyone who don't learn from the history are doomed to repeat.

Looks like it if they can't answer JIT questions in front of SC judges.

As I asked you before without getting an answer, the evening shift Tesky becomes far more agreeable and logical than the morning shift one, what gives? Lol

May be its just an innocent occurrence that you become more and more mellow as the day goes by...

Completely wrong. PMLN went to court against PM Gelani, he had to step down due to SC decision against him.

Why not then Nawaz Sharif himself be dismissed?

Nawaz Sharif should himself resign because never before in the history of the nation has someone at the top been so disgracefully and complete exposed.

Nawaz Sharif is not just an accused, his financial embezzlement and practices against the law of the land has been found out as a result of a criminal investigation by the highest court of the country.

Nawaz Sharif has been proved a criminal by the JIT based on not only and just circumstantial evidence but documentary evidence, and not just documentary evidence but statements given by accused himself and his kin and not just falsified statements but due to presenting falsified and fake documents to JIT but in Supreme Court of Pakistan.

This is uncovering of undeniable proof against a sitting PM is unprecedented and if Gelani can go due to far far less then this is cause is of titanic proportions that one way or the other the PM should go or or or......
.....
...
We should abolish this crime and punishment farce of a system and let everyone in jails go free.

.
Shane,

Two things.

Firstly, the SC has to uphold any case against MNS.
Secondly, YRG is not comparable, he was not his own master, his master AAZ exchanged him for another.

Regards

Congratulations to everyone to everyone cuz it's mean they are seriously considering a resignation. Everything they say is lie and do is opposite.

.
This is precisely my point and that's why I think MNS has done the right thing by holding his ground. Let the khakis do a pole vault into the PM House rather than give in tamely.

It is important that due process in accordance with the law be allowed to work. No one should take any illegal steps, no matter how justified they may appear. It would be yet another tragedy for Pakistan if that were not to happen.

At the end, it is Pakistan establishment's call.

As always.

But it is hard to explain the definition of stability and long-term to Imranistan.

Long term political stability would create strong national institutions that may challenge the supremacy of one particular institution, therefore it is in its particular interest never to let that happen, to the detriment of the country.

Nisar tells Nawaz only a miracle can save him: sources

https://www.geo.tv/latest/149472-pr...save-you-now-nisar-tells-nawaz-sharif-sources

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, while speaking with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif during the cabinet meeting on Thursday, said that only a miracle could save him, said sources privy to the matter.

The interior minister advised the premier to not confront the institutions and find a better alternative, further adding that certain ministers have brought about these circumstances upon him as they did not handle the Panama Papers leak in a proper manner.

Sources further added that the interior minister said the party restricted consultation by taking onboard junior politicians.

Nisar said during the meeting that he only once asked the prime minister to appoint him as foreign minister and has not asked for anything else of him.

Nisar, according to sources, said the political and legal team did not handle the situation well and has always expressed his opinion openly.

The prime minister reportedly said that it was better if the interior minister had expressed his opinion in private.

Sources further said that interior minister excused himself from the meeting later.

if these peopel are our hero,s . IT SAYS A LOT ABOUT OUR STATE OF MIND AS A NATION(OR WE JUST A MOB)?????//

Sir, I know very little of Pakistan's governments and it's different parties. The most important thing that i am aware of, is that army's power is much beyond government, something like Turkish system. And the previous coups are it's proof.
Why are they, really don't know who, asking Nawaz to step down? An other coup is being postponed or something?
Just a friendly question and based on my own information, maybe, as a foreigner, i was wrong. :)

The days of coups are long gone brother. The army still remains influential, but they don't interfere in domestic politics.

Nawaz Sharif's days are counted. Some sort of deal will be struck and early elections are on the cards. How long has Nawaz Sharif to go before the next elections? Not long I can assure you.

I honestly thought that the game was over after the model town incident and the dharna, but yet, PMLN had prevailed. I guess PMLN intend to weather through the storm which can either make or break the nation.

Who is stopping Nawaz Sharif from completing his term? It wasn't Imranistan who made the Panama leaks.

Let's be honest for a moment. Nawaz Sharif had it coming for a very long time. The Panama leaks are absolutely no surprise to anyone. These allegations have been leveled before against Nawaz Sharif. The only big difference this time around was that the leaks were made externally. The leakers were foreign journalists and that cannot be sidelined easily.

By that stance, you shouldn't be either given your flag into the account. As observing member, i am only airing my opinions in the name of freedom of speech and expression. At the end, it is up to people from Pakistan and i doubt i am that influential to the people of Pakistan which you are giving me credit for. :D

You have been active in PTI threads, but yet you exercise your freedom of speech/expression to express your opinion. Or perhaps it is best if you lead by the example rather than generalizing about others when you too are in the similar boat.

Remember, it is people of Pakistan chose Nawaz Sharif thrice. Not me nor you and certainly not Imranistan.
Again, it is people of Pakistan voted for Nawaz Sharif. Yet for some strange reasons, my opinions appear to have effects on you guys. :D

This is pdf forum. It is meant for debate, discussion and informative. You guys don't like it? Feel free to leave this forum. What good is freedom of speech and expression when you guys are incapable of tolerance whether in debate and in general?

Now if you guys are done with your personal girlish tirade, i suggest you guys get back on the topic or leave the thread for others to debate on this topic. No offense!!! :D
