Will Indonesia's idea for an Asian peace treaty fly?

But their heart is in the right place though let them try we all knew it will fail but think about it if it fails at less its other nail in china's coffin

My friend, their government is the same government that funds JI (Jeremiah Islamiyaah), which continues to breed internal strife in the Philippines as a result of the exportation of fundamentalist islamofascism. US Marines and Philippine Marines are currently hunting down any remnants of these JI trained terror cells that plague your southern island of Mindanao.

It would be wise not to be too idealistic especially with some of your neighbors.

You stance is not suprising since you backstabbers were the ones who violated the Bates Treaty and brutally and illegally forced the independent Moro Sultanates into the Philippines, and allowed the Filipinos to swamp Mindanao with non Moro Christian Filipinos so that the Moros are a minority in their own homeland. We all know about the American atrocities during the Moro war.

Both the Moro Muslims and the animist Lumads were swamped by Christian Visayan migrants. The Moros were the majority and now they are less than 25%. The internal strife is due to the actions of America and the Philippine government.

The Moros fought the Spanish, they fought the Americans and then they fought the Japanese and terrified all of their opponents.

The form of Islam they used to practice was tinged with animist pagan influences and not like orthodox Islam as practiced on the Arabian peninsula or Jemaah Islamiyah but even then they were fighting against American aggression on their land.

problem is mainland china, not taiwan.

Taiwan will not give up any of its claims to the Spratly or Paracel islands.

Do you honestly believe that if they were to dare launch icbm strikes on our military positions that they would survive the coming fire? They would hide in the dirt waiting to be glassed and not even a cockroach would survive the divine light of thousands of nuclear strikes throughout what would have been the Chinese heartland.

The extermination of an entire race would be a result of that action. We have the supreme power to eradicate their entire country from the face of this earth.
man, you have clear words. Sure, whoever resorts to the last strike and launches nuke weapons, make sure that you can kill your enemy, otherwise you will die as second. I don´t think that China risks her existence, the same goes to you.

Whose the actors responsible for funding the terrorist group?

Geez, do no one read the article anymore? A new treaty for the Asia-pacific is needed because the one we have currently does not work.

And of course it will bring the question whether this treaty will be needed:

Of course if we don't agree on a new treaty. The situation we have right now like the stand-off on the ECS & SCS will continues or or will happen again in the future.

Taiwan will not give up any of its claims to the Spratly or Paracel islands.

KMT and CPC claimed with eleven-dash line after 1948.
Vietnam controlled Islands from ancient time without troubles with China. China's claim is baseless.

Abu Bakar Bashir, an Indonesian of Yemeni descent, is thought to be the group's spiritual leader-and, some speculate, an operational leader as well. Bashir joined Darul Islam in the 1970s and was imprisoned in Indonesia for Islamist activism. In 1985, after a court ordered him back to prison, Bashir fled to Malaysia. There, he recruited volunteers to fight in the anti-Soviet Muslim brigades in Afghanistan and sought funding from Saudi Arabia while maintaining connections with former colleagues in Indonesia.

After the Indonesian dictator Suharto stepped down in 1998, Bashir returned home to run a pesantren-a Muslim seminary-in Solo, on the Muslim-majority island of Java. He also took up leadership of the Indonesian Mujahadeen Council, an Islamist umbrella group. Bashir has denied involvement in terrorism. Following the October 2002 Bali bombing, Indonesian officials demanded Bashir submit to questioning about that and earlier attacks. In 2003, he was convicted of treason, but the charge was soon after overturned by the Jakarta High Court and, in April 2004, Bashir was released from prison. Citing new evidence, Indonesia authorities rearrested Bashir the same day. On March 5, 2005, he was acquitted of charges that he participated in the 2003 attacks in Jakarta but was found guilty of conspiracy for the 2002 Bali bombings and sentenced to two-and-a-half years in prison, which the U.S. and Australian governments criticized as too lenient. Bashir's jail term was cut as part of the tradition of remissions for Indonesia's Independence Day, and he was released in June 2006.

Jemaah Islamiyah (a.k.a. Jemaah Islamiah) - Council on Foreign Relations

How has Indonesia dealt with Jemaah Islamiyah?

Following the September 11, 2001, attacks, the government spent months resisting pressure from its neighbors and the United States to detain alleged JI leaders. Many Indonesian authorities questioned whether the group even existed. Indonesia also resisted U.S. and Asian government requests to arrest Hambali, then JI's suspected operations leader, and he eventually went underground.

Some Indonesian officials said that targeting the extremist group could generate public sympathy for it and help build a following for Bashir and JI in the otherwise largely moderate Muslim country. Indonesia watchers said the government was also worried about appearing to cave in to U.S. demands and so antagonize Islamic political parties.

Thank you, I try to be as direct and straightforward as much as possible. And I will reiterate, there will be no hypothetical nuclear strikes on our interests because if a launch was detected, our response would be to eradicate the existence of that certain nation from the face of the earth. Let us evade discussing hypothetical scenarios against the United States, which would equate the extermination by American tactical nuclear rain.

And why would you say Indonesian government support Mindanao movement? Ba'ashir was and is never be a part of Indonesian government, his movements and his dogs are being battered down everywhere from Aceh to Papua. Indonesian Anti-Terror units are one of most active and hardliner anti-terror units in Asia. He is being funded by KSA and Arabians, not Indonesian. Stop blabbering something that is not in line with the topic.

Anyway, Mindanao islamic movement, your Phillipines countrymen, trained Indonesians islamist dogs because Philippines is the safe haven for Islamic Terrorist groups that operate in South East Asia. The reason? Cheaper and Easier to access with poorly security conduct by PH forces. Philippines should worry these thugs more than Indonesia should, at least our Anti-Terror units have been successfully conducting high profile raids, and why doesn't PH bring this Mindanao movement down yet?

Are the Philippines a haven for terrorism?
The U.S. State Department has considered the southern Philippines a "terrorist safe haven" since the classification was created in 2006. According to the State Department's 2008 report, the Philippine government has little control in the Sulu archipelago and the island of Mindanao. The government has also had trouble combating resentment among the local Muslim minority regarding policies of the central government. As a result, the Philippines is home to a number of militant groups, including the Abu Sayyaf Group, the Communist Party of the Philippines/New Peoples Army, Jemaah Islamiyah, the Alex Boncayao Brigade, the Pentagon Gang, the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF), and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). These groups have conducted over one-hundred attacks within the Philippines since 2004, the largest of which was a ferry bombing that killed 130 people. The Philippine government has taken significant steps to combat terrorism, but terrorists continue to use the country as a base to organize, raise funds, train, and operate.
Terrorism Havens: Philippines - Council on Foreign Relations

How does the Philippine government handle terrorist activity?

But despite these efforts, terrorist activity in the Philippines persists because of limited financial resources, inadequate salaries, corruption, low morale, limited cooperation between police and prosecutors, and other problems in law enforcement, according to the CRS. Rugged terrain, weak rule of law, and poverty, coupled with local resentment among the Muslim minority, has also made it especially difficult for the Philippine government to combat terrorism in the southern and eastern islands.

These guys are occupying your backyard and yet you point the blame on someone elses. Islamofascism in Indonesia will never win, Indonesia has faced the worst odds of these maniacs and won (wiped out DII/TII rebellion, GAM separatism, killed Noordin's groups, Azhari crews, M. Top's groups, Samudra's groups which carried biggest terror attacks in Asia). How's abu sayyaf? is he still okay in southern Philippines? How are Moro maniacs? are they still betty boppin'? Yeah.. think so.

The violaters of treaties is lecturing others on being straitforward.

You violated the Bates Treaty with the Moros and now you are boasting about assisting and abetting Filipino colonization against Moros. You also violated nearly all of your treaties with native americans.

Watch your language. When did you think the Moro insurgency originated? When Salafists came in or when Filipinos swamped the Moro (Muslims) and Lumad (animists) land in Mindanao with Christian Visayans? Or how about when American violated the Bates Treaty and directly attacked and annexed the Moro Sultanates into the Philippines with no provocation?

Before the modern era, Islam in Moroland was like Indonesian Abangan Islam. They mixed pagan animism with Islam. And even then when they fought the Spanish and Americans the juramentados struck fear into them and fought like fanatics. The Moro Sultans did not implement Sharia properly because their Islam was mixed from the start. Salafis did not cause the insurgency they only latched onto it.

And yet they are hand in hand with Abu Sayyaf activities, providing logistical supports for JI's base camps, and hiding them. I don't care their motives, they are both terrorists. Several attacks could be linked to both MNLF and MILF movements with JI as the prosecutors.

Although Moro movements are not specifically enhancing the same ideology like their JI counterparts, JI could gather new camps in southern philippines after being battered down by Indonesian authorities following the Bali bombings and executions of their leaders.
