Domination is a strong word. Let's say the target become more competitive and have a greater say in those areas. Too much domination of a thing usually brings about unseen risks.

For example, being the world's second largest consumer and likely the largest importer of crude oil, China is poised to have a greater say in oil prices. But nothing comes overnight. Institutions and frameworks have to be established.

Trust me, China already has a lot of say in all of those. But I agree with @TaiShang that domination is a wrong word. Domination would mean that China has single handed control which exceeds the rest of the world.
China doesn't have that control, nor is projected to have that kind of control.
