Wild boar hunting in Pak?

. . .
If donkey can be sold as meat. We might have had boar karahi without knowing who knows.

I wouldn't rule out this possibility, Pakistan is filled with many lowly dishonest and corrupt people which can go to any extent to make money. That is the reason I never eat mammalian meat from an outside restaurant/shop in Pakistan, the only meat I would eat in a restaurant in Pakistan was always chicken meat and even that also I would avoid and rather eat only chick peas or some vegetable dish like Spinach/potato etc. I just have no faith in the mammalian meat, once it is cut in pieces or grounded it all looks same to my eyes.

Yes cats are loved, other animals are loved as well.
Ok stray dogs are a problem in India, but that's India's issue to handle, hasn't got anything to do with Pakistan.

Dogs are not cruel, they can be like any other animal. Ever seen a cat rip off the heads of song bird chicks? They've done an appalling level of damage to small birds here in the UK.

Let me know when cats can do any of the following jobs;

Hahahaha. Anyway create another thread, I'll happily debate for team dog!

Bro district Kotli from mum's side, dad is from the edge of Mirpur district. Can't name the town until I see you in person i.e. it will reveal personal details.

Bro ordinarily I would agree, but they are among the worst pests in Pakistan. A single mature male boar can damage 500,000 rupees of crops in under a minute. When the families come in they devour the whole lot. Many farmers have been seriously hurt trying to use 'nice' methods e.g. noise, fire etc. They simply charge and impale you with tusks, or even worse bite! Their bite is horrible and can take chunks of flesh out of you, and I haven't even got into the bacterial infection.

Look at this! They can be merciless killers.

They are very hard to kill as well, heck this one gets beaten in Northern India and just shrugs it off, attacking multiple people, wtf was he doing there, filling up? Just raw, brute aggression.

Attacking horses!

They are getting meaner!

thanks for info sir i was unaware of these fact . thanks for educating me .

Hello,

Anyone know how i can go about to do this? Its my first time, i live overseas but want to visit Pakistan. Originally a friend of mine was going to take me with him to his family in Kashmir who would hunt boar but that fell through, anyone else know how i can get this done? Id also need a firearm, i am a little confused in regards to the law.

"temporary firearm dealing events are not regulated"

"In Pakistan, the private sale and transfer of firearms is permitted."

These are both unregulated. Do i need a license for temporary use too? The law states that Celebratory gunfire and temporary dealings are not regulated, am i able to say, buy one or rent one or even borrow one privately (with a license owner or someone experienced) and use it?

Thanks in advance.

Note: Boars are wild animals and part of Pakistan's treasured wild-life, I used to hunt small game, mainly rabbits, ducks, quail, pheasants and sand grouse, I don't hunt anymore and even when I did hunt, I only hunted what I would eat, I don't agree with sport hunting, its barbaric, as you will not mount the boar for trophy and will not eat the meat the only reason for boar hunting is either sport or population control.

Hunting is an expensive hobby, you really need a group of people a good local guide, contacts where you will be hunting, your own transport (pref a 4x4):

Wild boar hunting is popular in Pakistan, some municipalities provide a license for population control.

Boar populations in Pakistan are mainly concentrated around rural Punjab and Sindh, larger cities with woodland attract boar population, namely Islamabad and Margalla Hills, carrying a firearm in Margalla Hills is strictly prohibited due to the sensitive government installations in that area. The seasons for hunting boar are near September (Norther Areas), but can be hunted anytime of year.

Hunting of boar is banned in Changa Manga. Obtaining a firearms licence is a very difficult process and involved annual quotas or references/connections. Proper sport hunting requires a lot of planning and you will need a good team of hunters and at least 3/4 hunting dogs suited to hunting boar in Pakistan these are commonly the Black Mouth Cur, Mountain Cur (local mongrel breeds), some rich folk have black lacy's and Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Ammunition: Forget 5.56/223, you will need a 308 or speciality .270 to get the job done as safely, quickly and humanely as possible without undue suffering to the animal. Once COVID19 dies down, come to Pakistan near hunting season (September).

Dont do it for meat but sport and nessecity.

@waz will not like it but I used to snipe at the stray dogs in my area with an air rifle. Got good at it. And I said this to a BBC reporter too. He had come to record ( on my invitation - the BBC World Service radio program Outlook ) about my complaint of stray dogs being a major problem in my city. :D

Does killing give you pleasure?
How can it?
It is beyond me.
Even if people eat animal then it is fine, by killing just for fun is beyond me.
Besides take a fatwa. There might be fatwa on hoar hunting.

Once again, they are pests and VERY dangerous. They can charge at people and kill, same with kids. They destroy crops and wildlife, spread disease and destruction. They are pests, no better than mosquitos or mice.

Yes but use Guns instead of Dogs. I have seen the videos. They even attack dogs and injure them. Also using dogs cause serious pain to boars too. Its cheap, effective and Humane

Yep, i have never said id use dogs, i maintain id only do it with a gun, i wouldn't want to cause pain. I disagree with the dog method. It puts the dog and boar in harms way.
