On 4 September, Pakistani author and granddaughter of former Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Fatima Bhutto, raised concern over Pakistan’s lack of participation in providing refuge to Rohingya Muslims seeking shelter in India.

A. Pakistan was created as place for Muslims of British India to practice their religion in peace make their own destiny in light of Islam and to live with their interests safe guarded. It was never and I repeat it was never a yateem khana for every Muslim around the world.

2. With the initial migration pakistan ceased to be even a refugee place for British Indian muslims after 1951 bcz the choice was made by the Muslims who chose to live in India and those that chose to move to pakistan.

3. The very name of Pakistan constitutes itself as a federation of punjab, Kashmir, afghania ( pakhtunkhwa), sindh and Baluchistan. These regions were to enter into a federation and house the migration of British India's Muslim population which it did. Afterwards the federation was to continue finding it's own oath towards prosperity.

Miss fatima Bhutto's emotional diatribe makes absolutely no sense and is not in light with history and the genesis story of pakistan. Can she please point anywhere where our founder specifically pointed out that pakistan is for every Muslim of the world.
No bcz it is not. It was simply for British Indian Muslims which was completed and after 1951 pakistan is under no obligation to accept even Indian Muslims.

Pakistan can however accept Kashmir refugees bcz its a disputed area that pakistan claims as its own thus those are in the eyes of pakistan law and pakistan, Pakistanis.

Miss Bhutto in her second tweet makes no sense to her third tweet

In her second she highlights that we offer refuge not bcz rohingya are Muslims but bcz they are persecuted, afraid and alienated.

So those should be reasons for refuge according to her.

In her third tweet she says that our genesis story, our creation and name is not worth anything if we don't accept them and watch them in silence.

So basically yateem khana for the world.

This highlights that she has absolutely no clue about the genesis of pakistan, the concept, the reason for its being, its law and its ideology.

Emotional diatribe doesn't even cover this. I would suggest her to pick up a book on pakistan history.


Oh by the way. Pakistan houses well over 200k rohingya amongst which many have been given citizenship.

In fact I remember reading article march about India making over 40 million dollar deals for heavy weaponry and is looking to provide them with advanced light weaponry as well to act as a counter to China and secure its east.

Most of the indian defense deals with burma are related to their navy. Their weapons are mostly chinese or russian. @Topic, i think she is talking about present plight of rohingyas and pakistani behavior.

There are many Rohingya and Bangladeshi people living in Pakistan.
