If that is the case then you have reached the apex of hypocrisy..You have elected Congress almost 5 times in Punjab which massacred Sikhs in 1984..
By you, you mean the people of Punjab I'm guessing. You are right of course, however there was no good alternative in Punjab. It was either Akalis or Congress for the longest time... Abyss on one side and lion on the other.

Never say never.. The people of Punjab are fed up and at a crossroads with the corruption and lack of opportunity. With everything that is going on in the world, the time is ripe for a populist movement, we're already seeing signs of it with AAP support in the recent elections and now with the water rights issue. The government of India can ignore Punjab development at its own peril as America learned with Trump in the recent election.
