no. just live under Indian law.
you were lucky we were in between you and Muslim invaders. we were busy fighting Muslim invaders and you were busy collecting gold.
India is a federal republic .Every state and union territories are free to make their own decisions, irrespective of the central government policies. Its their own will to accept a policy or not. They can make their own laws. They are not abide to follow central government.
An example is the FDI - foreign direct investment ,issue. Central government needs to bring FDI investment in the country but it solely depends on the state government, if they want to accept FDI or not.
And the bolded part.. It was not because of "YOU" were in between us . But it was because of geography "The Western Ghats" which acted as a fort and the dense forest and the climate that saved us from any kind of invasion from the north.
Yes, when you were busy fighting each other we were collecting gold through spice trade with Arabs, Sumerians, Egyptians, Europeans etc. Have you heard about the "Black Gold" of ancient time? We earned wealth by trading our own "Black Gold".

The Fact still remains that Hindus in Kerala got a free ride due to the Blood of Hindus which was shed in the rest of India and by those who died protecting Hinduism.

The ONLY serious Islamic attack on Kerala was by Tipu Sultan and that turned 25% of kerala into Muslims :cheesy:

May be he was talking about scriptures strictly. I was talking about practices which may or may not have been drawn from the faith.
Oh come on!
Sacrifices for godess kaali, Kamakhya temple, assam remember???
It's not just about animal sacrifices but also meat eating dietary habits of hindus. who doesn't know that kashmiri pandits, maithilis and brahmans of kanara 're meat eaters. He denied everything.(imagine!!!)
And how can one forget that Buddhism had brought the fad of vegetarianism to hinduism. (now don't misunderstand me but I'm a pure vegetarian, and I find it funny that ppl here 're forcing their dietary habits on someone else).
(All the above mentioned points 've been posted already in my previous posts on this thread..this is just a repetition. Lolz)

You are talking about practices and not scripture. While doing Kali aradhana for instance, I have not come across any hymn that states - 'Now keep thy goat's head on the guillotine and run down the righteous blade. May the Goddess purify you with the blood from the innocent beheaded animal, so that after the puja, you can relish the mutton yourself' etc...
We are meat eaters but not because Lord Shiva tells us to kill lambs and eat them.

As a matter of fact Shiva is know as Pasupatinath. Lord of all animals and is the protect of all animals.

No one with any knowledge of Hindu scriptures will even consider sacrificing any animal to Shiv or Shakti.

My original post on animal sacrifices was a reply to wolfyy who denied that hindus used to eat meat. So I asked him if he would deny animal sacrifices too?? And he did.
Thanks for confirming it.

That shouldn't be said but I respect your views because I have seen hatred for Jinnah far worse than this on a particular forum. But I feel Indians have been raised on hatred for Jinnah and have not studied what made Jinnah the ambassador of Hindu Muslim unity. He also defended in Hindu in court.
we are raised on state propaganda and a watered down version of history, when we grow up, we can research and do our own investigations..

but in Pakistan I believe the state brainwashing machine is a lot stronger as far as the Kashmir issue goes and about India in general, here people grow up clueless with a slight bias, their.. or I'm told at least, they are programmed to hate

mr jinnah is falsely revered in Pakistan by ignorants, just as gandhi is falsely worshiped here.. and I'm far from being either RSS or taliban, but this is the truth...

. .
Err.. NO we DON'T. Unless you are talking about Nepal.

bhai please listen further..

so now listen we dont sacrifice animals to any gods. according to our belief there are guards who are always guarding doors of temple and they are rakshas. so the sacrifice of animal(goat, chicken) is meant for that rakshas not for gods.
and now days that is also banned. so get in mind Hindus never sacrifice any animal to god.

.

That comes across as a Tantra text which is similar to Aghori tantra sutra. Those paths are for those who lives outside society. Like the Aghori or Chadi sect. They only focus on the Aatma, soul and not the body, Human or Animal.

If we start considering such rituals then some illiterate will start claiming that Hindus eat dead humans too. Since aghoris do it.

That might be a culture or tradition, but has no root in the scriptures.

This is for the seculars.
Article 48 of the Constitution states that “the State shall endeavour to organise agriculture and animal husbandry on modern and scientific lines and shall, in particular, take steps for preserving and improving the breeds, and prohibiting the slaughter of cows and calves and other milch and draught cattle.

I don't know how Ambedkar and his framers could be more clearer.

no, everything is "allowed"

Karma is cause and effect, agle janam mein kasai bhi ban sakte ho, ya shayad pichle janam me kasai they :D

same cosmic laws apply, no matter what part of earth or what religion you're born into.. only reason why the cow was revered was because these are fertile lands where everything grows anyway, so why kill and bad karma ?

.. but islam for eg, came from the deserts, where nothing grew.. so food was sacred, and that explains the animal sacrifice bit... to please god, makes sense for both

btw I agree that consuming a light vegetarian diet is the best practice to adopt if you're meditating and trying to be clear of mind, one with the universe etc but these are personal choices.. it's not forced on us like they force stuff on the abrahamics.. thou shalt not/haram.... we don't have these things anywhere.

the cow was considered holy and if slaughter was banned, it was because it was so much better to keep alive.. and even so, I'm convinced people were still killing it for meat even back in the day..

again, everything is "allowed" but some things are discouraged.. it's up to us,

wrt Islam, because pigs are generally dirty and will eat rubbish and human feces even, Muhammed probably saw that and banned it for hygienic reasons... I'll bet "allah" has no problem if a muslim in the modern world eats a peperoni pizza or bacon and eggs for breakfast.. but I'm sure "allah" would be as 'displeased' with even a 'hindu' or a 'christian' if he eats unclean meat which might give us the ebola or something...

2015, time to update your software.. too many ignorance, hate and fascist viruses swimming in people's brains these days

You only got half of first sentence right. Karma is cause and effect. It is not just agle janam. Karma can be served at any place, anytime, in any shape and form. If you slap someone now, you wont have to wait till agle janam to feel the affect of it. I am not here to talk about Islam. That is not the concern for us.
