Why India went a step beyond to mourn Saudi King's death

@Zarvan

Why saudi king was buried in unmarked grave?

Is it a saudi thing or is it some ultraorthodox muslim thing?

Asking because here in India, the muslim graves have headstones with names and dates etc. mentioned.
According to Quran and Sunnah its the right way to do it Muslims in Asia mostly do it wrong

India and Saudi Arabia do share a cordial relationship,,,we have a healthy business relationship n cooperation,,, they respect our sensitivities regarding Kashmir issue...while also maintaining a brotherly relationship with Pakistan.
the gesture indicates GOI"s keen interest on developing our relationship further.

He was instrumental in improving India-KSA relationship
GoI is just reciprocating to all his good contribution to India-KSA relationship.

Islamic traditions discourage glorification and encourage simplicity in matters like death, marriages etc.

Glory is reserved for Allah and his Prophets.

But the Shia do not have the same take on that.

So its more a sunni tradition. Not an Islamic one per se?
