Why do we insist on calling India a vegetarian country when two-thirds of us eat meat?

2/3 eat meat means 1/3rd are vegetarian. Even most non vegetarians do not eat non veg in some days like Monday,Tues,Saturday dedicating specific gods these days.Every Hindu festival observed in pure vegetarian way.I think 1/3rd of India equal to 10% of world population that's huge number.India is the country you have to compulsorily put logo on food packet whether veg or non veg.

I have a question, do Indian vegetarians eat a lot of vegetable?
From the charts below, it seems that Indians consume not too much vegetable.

Any comparison on milk,curd n cheese consumption that what most vegetarians eat.
