2014/09/06
Q: It is reported that the Pakistani side announced that President Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan has been postponed. Please confirm that.

A: China and Pakistan have been maintaining communication for some time on President's Xi Jinping's state visit to Pakistan in mid September, and have made productive preparation for this visit. In view of the current political situation in Pakistan, the Governments of China and Pakistan have mutually agreed to postponement of the state visit of President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, which was scheduled to take place later this month. New dates for President Xi Jinping's visit to Pakistan, at an early date, are being finalized through diplomatic channels.

Both countries underline that China and Pakistan are time-tested all-weather friends. Both sides attach high importance to the visit of President Xi Jinping to Pakistan, as early as possible, for promoting mutually beneficial cooperation between the two.

Imran Khan is a very respected and beloved sportsman and philanthropist in Pakistan. He is known an an honest idealist.
In politics he is known to support terrorist groups and appeals to his supporters on base of anti-americanism. For him, the 2013 elections were his last chance to win power and that's why these days he is trying his level best to stay relevant.

This revolution is about bringing the losers and rejected of last elections in power.

It's dangerous. I can't relate a philanthropist to terrorist group sponser.

Imran Khan had alleged that the Chinese president was visiting Pakistan to give loan to Pakistan on high interest rate.

‘Imran’s accusations about Chinese investment are baseless’

He is NOT a sponsor of any terrorist group. I used the wrong word when I said he supports terrorists.
Basically he is/was a sympathizer.

IMO,Terrorist is not worth being sympathized. I think he is trying to challenge the bottom line.

They tried to mediate but failed. Ultimately civilian leadership, despite their flaws, have managed to come out of this successfully.

Agreed. This is one of the reasons he lost the elections badly, IMO.

I really worried Pakistan will shift the friendly policy toward China if this Imran guy comes into power.

Nothing to worry about;

  1. He will not come in to power
  2. The other poster gave you a wrong impression. Even if he does, his party's stance is not against China.

We Chinese fully support Pakistan peoples' choice, we will not step in your domestic affair in any way.
