Why Bangladesh is Famous ?

IMO, BD should be famous for how quickly they figured out Mujib and his cohorts, and, most importantly, how fast they sorted him out!!!! Look at all the Arab stooges - Irak, Syria, Lybia etc. - still in deep civil wars!!!! Only 14 junior ranking officers, heading a platoon of soldiers with only their side arms and riding on 3 tanks without shells, routing the Mujib regime out from the roots!!!! Amazing feats from these ex-Pak Ordu men fluent in Urdu, and they did it under the Indian threat of invading BD from 4 sides!!!! How well the Punjabi/Pashtun NCOs/JCOs train the raw recruits and whip them into the finest fighting machines!!!!!!!!

That is economical aspect and it has a background history too why US agent Yunus opened that project . However - When a country get popularity ? Politically , Military and Economics and so on.

Just one example- OUr cox bazar sea beach is the largest Beach whole over the world. so i i say , in that case my country is famous. Whats wrong with that !!! If awariya rai is beautiful- should i say she is famous or should i say she is famous in India ?

I was just saying what I know.

I dont wanna insult ur country dear, if i want i can do that. U may ignore the topics. i think that will be a wise though 4 u.

No offense but Bangladesh isnt really relevant outside of South Asia; I think for the most part Bangladesh is mostly synonymous with cheap labour and immigrants atleast here in the UK.

You guys need to start working on promoting something else thats both marketable and unique to Bangladesh.

Whats a location in Bangladesh where I can see something that doesnt exist elsewhere? (e.g natural sights, landmarks)
Bangladesh is 3rd country ( Depending on World bank and IMF)
India is a 3rd country ( Depending on World bank and IMF)
Pakistan is 3rd country ( Depending on World bank and IMF)

So if we try to compare with Uk, will be that right ? BY the word Famous has many definitions.

.
Bangladesh is famous for nothing sadly. Except one man Hero Alom!

So telling bangladeshis to be bangladeshi is considered an insult?

There us a problem with Bangalis. They celebrate little success in such a way as they have conquered the world. They exaggerate too much.

e.g. In cricket (The only sport in which they are known in world) if they wins a match at group stage, they will behave as they already have won championship.

recently Bangladesh celebrate power installation of 20k MW like a win of WW3 . the problem is they behave like kids and think what they achieved other countries left far behind . in real world countries archived it quietly some decades ago .

One of the main reason they successfull was sheikh mujub strong believe that his banglali son would not kill him and relying on police security in a personal house where you can easily enter.

Floor is open- you may put your points too-

I think Bangladesh is famous for the most beautiful people! The Bangladesh people have been through SO much--have not really whined and cried about it (maybe they should), are true Muslims, and are still warm and welcoming people to almost all! They fought against all odds for their freedom and won!

Yes their government needs alot of work--so does the whole country. Bangladesh needs; roads, electricity to the villages, arsenic free and otherwise clean water, better healthcare especially vaccinations for the children etc.
But I believe Bangladesh's day will come. It is a growing country and has alot of potential. We would be at fault if we didn't see that.
Yes, I think they are some of the best people in the world.

Bangladesh. From the top of my mind I can think of;

1) The longest beach in the world (at Cox's Bazaar).

2) The highest population density anywhere in the world.

3) Amongst the most fertile lands anywhere in the world.

4) Muslin cloth which was worn by royalty and dignitaries the world over.

Other facts like the Jamuna have already been mentioned above.

You have to remember that we are a new country going through our infancy. I see a very different future for BD. In 50 years time it will be a very different place.

Other countries have had longer than us and also do not have to deal with the natural disasters that our country folk have to deal with. Yet still they cope and not only survive, but thrive and multiply.

So I suppose we could include our resilience and determination too.

In 1970, we had the second highest Muslim population (after Indonesia).

Yes but Pakistan is known for many things, food, clothes, music, etc.

I've also had many conversations with people in the UK about the Indus valley civ, and Pakistans northern areas; these things are not only famous but are unique to Pak.

All I asked was what is something marketable that you cant find outside of Bangladesh
