You are a Pakistani not Arab,
Paranoid schizophrenia can make people take on two persons in one body - unfortunately this condition often afflicts Pakistanis.

*And as to the question the OP posits the answer is very simple. When they can learn to defeat the West. Israel is merely a satellite of the West like Australia.

When Israel was supported by USA, Arab states surrounding it was supported by the Soviet Union. Moreover,
Really hot shot? The Soviets supported the Arabs. Who did the West support? They just supported themselves because Israel is the 'West'.

Lemme explain it in another way. Who did the Arabs face on the battlefield in Sinai? This is what the equation looked like -

Egyptians, Syrians, Jordanian' Arabs Versus German, Polish, Russian, French, British, American Jews.

Now tell me who is going to win?

. .
Because majority of Iraq are Shia and Bashar Assad is Iran's ally.

Iran's goal is to control all of arab countries because many of them are under American/Israeli infulence.
Gulf state Arabs have always needed a God father for protection. After humiliating uncle Sam, we will control them.

Arabs are disorganized bunch of people.. they cannot conduct straight dealing among themselves and with others. Rather everything to do with Arabs is highly politicized...Unlike everyone else in the world they are incapable of planning there present for better future....rather everything runs by the will of allah!

Let the fossil fuel run out in the Gulf, Then we'll know where they stand

Fossil fuel will not run out... its a sea of oil..

But in 20 30 years technology may move away from fossil fuel enough to make it worth nothing..

Arabs need to get their act together in next 10 years and get off racial superiority horse...and start toiling the soil

Answer is very difficult yet very easy
  • Education (#1 Factor)
  • Acceptance of other Muslims
  • De-Emphasization on Arabness, more focus on being humble Muslims who can speak multiple languages
  • Lack of Educated Policy Makers , who promote Economic reforms and create Jobs that yeild's returns on 1-3 year basis.
  • None support of war in any other Muslim country
  • Lack of Justice
  • Evolution of society (Social laws)
The failiure of Saudai - Iran relations are perhaps the biggest blemish on all Muslims forget just matter of Arab or not

How Arab Spring was used by CIA /Mosad to create entities like ISIS , to Terrorize Muslim cities and cultural assets was prehaps one of the gravest ill of our modern times. And this was partially possible only after collaboration by some governing partners (Sad but there is some truth to the story)

Gulf Arabs and Iranians both have a chip on their shoulders with regards to relations with each other and that is something me as Pakistani would never understand.

At times the West supported ruling governments
Intermittent and lacking any depth. More tactical covergenence than strategic concord -

Egypt
Lebanon
Jordan

These (above) being the 'Arabs' who actually were the combatants, rest were onlookers. Western support mostly commenced post peace with Israel. Prior to that either directly (like Anglo-French invasion of Egypt) or indirectly WEstern support was restricted to Israel. The decisive factor people overlook is like I said before a Third World peoples (assorted Arabs) faced First World Europeans (assorted German, Polish, Russian etc Jews) who had across the spectrum support from their donor countries in the West. The result is as predictable as can be seen.

If the same Germans, Polish, Russian etc migrant Jews from Europe had faced Sri Lanka, Burma, India or Nigeria they would have gouged their eyes out - like the previous European wave of British Dutch had bulldozed their way to imperial hegemony over large parts of the Third World.

KSA, the Gulfies
Yes, this is true but KSA and the Gulfies are closet lovers of Israel. It is one of the best hidden loves of our times.

*And I make a conspicious effort to avoid making a typo with 'Iseal' when posting to you !

You're assuming that the human reactions to stimuli are the same for Jews and Europeans. They are not. Different value sets and viewpoints result in different responses. Why do you think the Arabs of Palestine were not extinguished by the victorious Jews after 1948 and 1967, as applicable Turkish laws and European practice encouraged? Instead, the peace-loving Arabs remained while the warmongers who fled to the enemy camp were prevented from returning to further oppress their Jewish neighbors.

It's often asked why Arab development has failed. The U.N. has hired Arab scholars to investigate and issue reports on the matter: Arab development "is being undermined by the region’s unjust political, social, and economic systems, a scramble for power and resources among fragmented social groups and, in some cases, the impact of external military intrusion" - i.e., tribalism and foreign meddling are more powerful than human rights with rule-of-law.

Those are symptoms of a disease that defines the Third World of whom Arabs are a subset. These symptoms you describe apply to and are even more potent in large parts of Africa, India, Pakistan, parts of South East Asia etc.

For example Jordan, Syria (prior to war), Tunisia, Marocco or even Egypt are arguably better ran then India is. The citizens living standards and services provided are immeasurably better than India.`

Because Iran's influence can unite Muslims and lead them to the correct way which is fight against American Israeli interests before Islamic countries get ruined. Considering situation of MENA countries show many things. Many Islamic countries are involved in wars by Americans to supply West and Israeli interests.
The way Iran saved Iraq and took over its controls before it got ruined. And Now Iraq is a new memeber of Happy Muslim Front Against US/UK/Israel/Mossad/CIA/Zion/TemplerNIghts/bla bla.
Please keep us from such kind of Jerusalem conquest compaign where everything has to become "IRAN" before becoming beneficial to the cause.

There are footmark of Americans in all wars in Islamic countries (such as Iraq, Libya, Syria and Yemen). American doctrine: ruin your enemy (by war, civil or proxy war) to secure your friend. American's doctrine for Iran's case is sanctions. Weaken your enemy as much as you can to secure your friend.
You means Syria ? The way america destroyed it with the biggest help from Iran and Russia for their geo-strategic interests ?

Funny, the West does not follow the Quran, and is not united.
Still it is quite successful compared to the rest of the world,
but please go on with your illusions.

God helps those that help themselves.

Agreed the West does not follow the Quran and is divided. That doesn't preclude success.

What I am saying is the problems of secterianism, disunity, and violence plaguing the Muslim world has been addressed in the Quran and Sunnah. And to take for example, the geopolitical problems that exist...Think about actually implementing Islamic principles. Not paying lip service. I would submit that a lot of problems that exist would be solved for the Arabs or for that matter other Muslim countries.

I don't really expect you to understand what I am saying. For that matter alot of the Muslim folk here may not agree either or understand. But for my fellow muslims here, go and read the Quran and put it into the context of the present day. And please read and think about the Prophets last sermon. Very relevant to todays current events. Its amazing how it relevant it is.

And i completely agree with your last sentence.

. . . .
Every country / sovereign state in the world cares about its own interests above all else. This has been going on for thousands of years and has nothing to do with ethnicity, race or religion.

The Arab World is simply too large and too heterogeneous to be united on all matters. The cultures and attitudes vary significantly between the different geographic regions of the Arab World. Moreover, even from a historical point of view, the Arabic-speaking peoples were rarely ever united.

This article is too idealistic and fails to take human nature into account.
