Why America Nuked Japan? It Was Not To End the War Or Save Lives.

But Nuclear weapons shouldn't have been used, not even for last resort. That was worst part in the history of mankind. To send the message, that was worst example.

I shrudder to think the impact of WW3, Nuclear wars, on earth, Allahu Alim [only Allah knows best].

There should be no doubt that using the nuclear bombs saved hundreds of thousands of lives by ensuring a quick end to the war. Having said that, you are correct that another nuclear war should be avoided at all costs in this day and age.

Technically it was to scare the Soviets from taking over all of Europe. Either way, if it US didn't use nukes, we would have just used conventional bombs to hasten Japanese surrender. US told Japan (the aggressor) unconditional surrender or face prompt and utter destruction. Had the Japanese leaders surrendered, millions of lives would have been saved.
