Who Supports China in the South China Sea

Wow! China has many African friends.

China is doing the right thing in Africa by building infrastructure, investment, trade, etc.

These African friends can be counted upon when needed.

If a country is stupid enough to raise this issue in the UN, it will be voted down.

Even if it is not, it will be vetoed by China and Russia.

The map maybe wrong but the list is correct though.. Majority of nations either supported or remained neutral with China

The Map from the China Daily must have mistakenly painted India and Malaysia red. Other than that the list and the article pretty much sums up the opinion from ME, African and Asian countries voicing their support to China.

Not really. China did not ignore it so this thing keeps it's ugly head up.

There has been numerous institutional assault on China from ASEM meeting to ASEAN FMs meeting; so, China could not have ignored it entirely.

Also, foreign ministry received lots of questions in news briefings, so, there was repeated answers from spokespersons on the same issue.

Russia also mobilized intensive media and diplomacy after the Crimean annexation.

When there is so much pressure, it is difficult to remain silent.

What is important to me is that China's behavior did not change. In fact, island development quickened.

Joining too many useless organizations is not good. ASEAN what exactly does this organization do?

Argentina-VN institute backs tribunal’s East Sea-related verdict

The Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute (ICAV) on July 27 issued a statement in support of the recent ruling by the Permanent Court of Arbitration in The Hague, the Netherlands, related to territorial disputes in the East Sea.

The statement declared that the ruling has created a firm legal foundation for nations involved in disputes on sovereignty in the sea, and guaranteed the principles of the Convention on the Law of the Sea 1982 (UNCLOS).

It also stressed that the verdict has legal validity to all the parties involved.

Through the statement, the ICAV asked the countries involved to comply with the ruling and protect peace in accordance with international law.

It protested all actions that cause tensions in the East Sea such as increasing military personnel and equipment presence, building artificial islands, and hindering the legitimate rights of fishermen and maritime freedom.

On July 12, the Permanent Court of Arbitration (PCA) in The Hague, the Netherlands, issued its ruling on a case brought by the Philippines against China’s nine-dash line claim in the East Sea, saying China’s claims to historic rights for waters within the nine-dash line are contrary to the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea.

The tribunal also found no legal basis for China to claim historic rights to resources within the nine-dash line.

The country has no historic title over waters of the East Sea. At the same time, China has caused permanent and irreparable harm to the coral reef ecosystem at Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago, the court said.

Geez you people are desperate and really hard to locate your coordinate in the political map of world without a powerful magnifying glass, arent you?
What is the political or economic clout of "The Argentina-Vietnam Cultural Institute (ICAV) "? Stop exporting their Tango-dancers and raw beef to China when China starts reclaiming another reef again?
