yes, but there are millions of Sikhs in Punjabis, just as millions of Muslim Rajputs,, millions of Muslim JaTTs, and millions of Muslim Gujjars

Punjab is the most cosmopolitan, multi-cultural, mixture of races

not as a single race of Gurkhas

Have you seen a Muslim Sikh or a Hindu Mufti?

No such thing as Muslim Rajput. The only martial Punjabis are Jatts and Gujjars, everyone else are farmers and peasants.
hahahaha, you mean to say there are no Muslim Jatts or Guggars, that is utter bullshit.....

40% of sikh are made from these punjabi dalits in photo. Sikh is a religion not a race. 99% of sikhs are punjabis and 40% of them are dalits. Who are known as christian churas, mussalis etc in Pakistan.

@Pak-one knows that Pashtuns are tougher than Punjabis. But because he has an obsession with Punjabis, that's the reason for this thread.

Punjab is very cosmopolitan. It is a true mixture of all races. It is very unfair to Punjabis. They are a very diverse people.

You have Potoharis, Hindko, Seraikis, Majhis, Riastis, Derawals, Kashmiri Punjabis, Ranghari Punjabi, Niazi (Pashtun) Punjabi etc etc

Oh come on. Punjabis don't have a bad temper?

You know the Durranis?
Its not just that, some other factor are also taken into consideration. Potohar is small region, but more than 71% of soldiers are recruited from this region. More pashtuns, from swat to quetta, apply for jobs in army than potoharis but most of them are rejected as they are not qualified based on their personalities. According to ISPR report of 2007, pashtuns are only 13.4% of army.
British considered khattaks and yousafzais of plains as finest soldiers among pashtuns. On the other hand they are viewed as meek and weak by other pakhtun tribes. Criterea of army are different, khattaks are discipilined, obedient and faithful....and mild

You are using old figures. Now Pak army is recruiting from all over Punjab and % is basis of province populations. So Punjab army % have come down to 53% as of 2007. Punjab population is 45% of country. Maybe now its even less then 50%.
Punjabis: 53.19%
Pashtuns: 21%
Sindhis: 13.5%
Kashmiris: 9.11%
Balochis: 3.2% .

And i agree martial for British meant slave. Otherwise we central punjabis don't consider these north punjabis any worhty of being called martial.

A Punjabi can also have the personality you are ascribing to a Pashtun of the mountain.

Potohari Rajputs and Awans are recruited more into the Pakistan Army, due to the military background and experience of those people, as you admitted.

But, no one can deny the fact that the Pashtun is tougher than a Punjabi

This is all bogus theories, 40% of Ranjeet singh army was punjabi dalits. You know those i posted pictures of, but they ruled punjab anyway. While punjabi rajputs failed miserably against central asians.

I am a sikhni and I say Gorkhas are the best. They are brutal and merciless.

Gorkahs, ran away from Sawat, when Punjabi soldiers stepped in.
NEXT TIME DONT MAKE ME 2 CHOP UR HEAD>SON

The private, from 1st Battalion, Royal Gurkha Rifles, was involved in a fierce firefight with insurgents in the Babaji area of central Helmand Province when the incident took place earlier last July.

The Nepalese soldier, who is in his early 20s, apparently made the decision to remove the head in a misunderstanding over the need for DNA evidence of the kill.

Source?. pashtuns are not 21%. The plan was to increase their percentage from 13.4 to 14.4% in upcoming years.
Changing demographics and standards in the Army
Note that traditionally considered non-martial sindhis had higher percentage than pakhtuns in 2007, pakhtuns were 13.4% while sindhis were 15%. If army has acted on their plan then it means sindhis are 17% and pakhtuns are 14.4% now. It means sindhis are better soldiers than pakhtuns, interesting fact is that they dont apply that much for army like pakhtuns.
