Indian's?
We all know of this architectural beauty called red fort where every year on our Independence Day Prime Minister hoists red flag, today I stumbled on some conflicting details regarding its construction and ownership.
Prithviraj Chauhan III, the Last Hindu Emperor of India. not sure though! So who really built Red fort???
I am sure.Indian's?
Right!!!Please keep in mind that such huge structures from history are often built over decades, and altered and added to over centuries, so assigning one year as the date of construction may not be appropriate.
Prithviraj Chauhan III, the Last Hindu Emperor of India. not sure though!
Historian states-In 1638, Shah Jahan began construction of a new capital in Delhi.
The palace-fortress, the Red Fort as it is known was completed in 1648 .
the history also reveals the fortress, now known as the Red Fort, fell to the foreign invader Muhammad Ghori, for the first time in history, in 1192 AD. Later, several Muslim dynasties used that fortress, built by the Rajput kings, as their royl court and residence. Quite naturally, for some time it went to Ghias-ud-din Balban, alias Ulugh Khan. But it is a pity that despite all such infallible evidences, our historians persist in writing that the sais Red Fort was built by Shah Jahan.
clearly the red fort was not built by any muslim invader.it was built by some Indian emperor.
GREAT HINDU WORLD NEWS: RED FORT WAS NOT BUILT BY SHAJAHAN BUT IT WAS BUILT BY HINDU EMPERORS
Right!!!
Wikipedia says it took 10years to build red fort, so the structure was under construction from 1638 AD to 1648 AD.
But that still doesn't explain the presence of older plaster on the fort or of the missing Lal-kot of Prithviraj Chauhan.
I am in India right now.
I will be back in UAE next week, don't know why was Modi in such hurry to come to UAE?? He could have waited another week.
******
Why is everyone rubbing salt on my wounds today???
IDC!!!Modi just said in his speech that he is deeply disappointed not to meet you in UAE. He was planning to click a selfie with you..
@ranjeetI am sure. But that still doesn't explain the presence of older plaster on the fort or of the missing Lal-kot of Prithviraj Chauhan.
You have missed the last point in my OP (the presence of older plaster found by Archeological survey of India).
Yes!Such a large building could easily have incorporated many older structures within it.
Posting a screen shot from a book which describes Delhi's history....Okay. You have all the evidence in front of you. It is simple question of arranging all the facts in logical sequence Right here goes.
Red For > Old Plaster > Lal Kot > Prithviraj Chauhan. Therefore conclusion it was a Hindu Indian Prithviraj Chauhan that built it. Not those pesky Muslim invaders.
I guess watching all those Colombo movies pays off.
Hindu wash??Red Fort was built by the Mughals. Now there's a revivalist Hindu movement in India becoming more emboldened by the BJP rule which wishes to Hindu-wash all Indian history so you have fairytales being concocted that someone Prithviraj Chauhan (read Hindus) built the Red Fort.
India sure does have its own issues with fallacious Hindu revisionist history propaganda being spread.
