I live in Karachi and I hate sea food, the smell is unbearable for me. No matter what you do with the fish/sea creatures.

More of a sweet water fish lover.

Try grilled or blackened Salmon. Salmon is avail in Pak.

Deep fried fresh Anchovies, Sardines and Calamari in light olive oil. These are served with tomato deep, salads and french baguette bread. This dish is very popular in the Western Mediterranean region including Spain and Morocco.

I like all sea food, particularly if they know how to serve it. Fish can be stinky if they dont use lemonade before being cooked. I like crab but I am not sure whether it is considered as halal food since it lives in two world (sea and land).

This is my favorite sea food (clam/ scallop), particularly if it uses Indonesian special recipe sauce. I am myself dont know the exact sauce recipe but almost all Indonesian sea food street seller knows the recipe, but at least what I know that they use chilly and tomato sauce that can be found in Indonesian store and pineapple. The yellow one that you see on the picture below is pineapple ingredient. The other one is peanut sauce. All of them must be mixed to produce superb sauce taste.

To eliminate the smell, you have to pure lemon on the fish body before being cooked. Not fresh fish can also produce stinky smell.

If any one visiting Jakarta and want to eat seafood, you better choose street food vendor instead of restaurant. It will be much cheaper and the taste is super delicious. Better ask local Indonesian first if you want to find any.

I too don't like the smell of fish and other aquatic creatures. Though once my mother bought a certain fish which came out nice when fried. Unfortunately we forgot the name of that fish.

OK, will try this the next time we buy fish.

In order of preference;

1. Salmon
2. Cod
3. Tuna

I think haddock has no taste of it's own. Not tried any of the other types of fish.
