"At Wana, Ahmadzai Wazirs refused to meet him, and debagged the suited and booted Hindus who went to visit him. Abdul Ghaffar Khan, who, together with Dr. Khan Sahib accompanied Nehru throughout the trip, spoke scathingly of the British officers in Waziristan, calling them 'suave and cunning'. He attributed the docility of tribesmen to the allowances given to them by the British. Nehru journeyed onto Tank and Jandola, where he met some of the smaller tribes. 'Here the tribesmen received us warmly and brought black sheep to present us', noted Ghaffar khan. Back in Peshawar, Nehru's next stop was Khyber pass, but the Afridis refused to grant usual tribal protection and the recently reconstituted Khyber Rifles were called in to protect the party against sniping and stone throwing. After tea in Torkham, they returned to Peshawar without meeting a single Afridi.[2]"Why than we have suddenly Bacha Khan University, Bacha Khan airport, Bacha Khan underpass, Bacha Khan hospital, Bacha Khan... and all in NWFP?
May be they didn't like presence of fagot, on their land!
Poor fraud is not even buried in his ancestral land.
He was one of those very few prominent Muslim Politicians who served long prison sentences for their anti-British stance before independence. He was a man true to his own principles who spent more than 30 years of his life in jail (before and after independence). He was named an "Amnesty International Prisoner of the Year"(1962). Amnesty's statement about him said, "His example symbolizes the suffering of upward of a million people all over the world who are prisoners of conscience." and who was nominated for Nobel Peace Prize in 1984. We may disagree with his political views but calling him "Fraud" would be a gross injustice to the legacy of the man.
Well he was an Afghan, 'Fakhr-i-Afghan'.... more Afghani than Zahir Shah.
Well he was a fraud. A fraud who was more congressi than Gandhi and more Afghani than Zahir Shah.
He was a Pushtun Nationalist, we may disagree with him but there is no reason to call him fraud. Anyway he failed to achieve his goals and is not even buried in Pakistan.
was an as$ licker of Congress.
Well he was an Afghan, 'Fakhr-i-Afghan'
Due to?And he was a Sharam e Pakistan
Due to?
He was very benign after creation of Pakistan till his death. You should not be so angry at him at all. It would have been understandable if you had such sentiment about his brother or his son, but he himself was a humble and harmless person.Because of being a fakhr e something other than Pakistan.
