And China even has today an appaling standard of treating their elderly, i dont know about the sickness insurance, but im guessing there's very little of that as we know it in the West. Ive seen articles where pensioners were said to have had less then a dollar of pension per day and committed petty fellonies just to get back in prison where there's enough food.

Pensions are low or nonexistant, varying from countryside to the cities and in the next 2 decades a large reform will have to take place.

So if you take into account very few pensions as it is, growing senior citizen population and a little bit of a ponzi scheme that China is you will have a recipe for "success" in about 20 years time.

But bottom line, developed countries are paying health and retirement for immigrant workers.....

even now we get thousands of illegal immigrants that's why Beijing government is having a crack down on illegal foreigners in Beijing,and we deport thousands of Vietnamese workers every year .maybe the pay is not that good comparing to the west,but high enough for some neighboring poor countries where finding jobs is a very difficult business.and China is not old yet,China will become a old society in 20 years,cause the one child policy was implemented in early 80s,by the time China will be pretty well off and pay can be higher than it is now.
