Whats with the self hate among BD posters here?

I dont see any Pakistanis who only post stuff 100 % of the times against their country, or Indians posting only anti Indian threads, same with the Chinese.
Some of the self professed BD posters dont have one, not one good thing to say about their nation. Whats the reason for this hate? Its just shocking to me that citizens of such a young country who have so much info available demonstrating what sacrifices were made for their country are forgetting and belittling these very sacrifices.
Assuming some of these anti nationals are above the age of 18, why are you not voting with your feet and just leave Bangladesh?
My best friend's wife is from Bangladesh, so I am not talking about some unknown topic here.

Well, in a certain way, this terror non-sense has brought Pakistanis closer to their homeland and more united. Plus i guess We have more freedom in more ways, despite what west calls it.

Internet, Cellphons, shyt load of TV channels etc etc.

Indians are also happy with the new economic rise, people are satisfied with jobs, future etc.


Bangladesh is still being run by one party since i don't know when.


But i guess they can tell us more.

Actually if the BD members don't get offended or consider this racist, this might a good topic.

I remember couple of years ago BBC Bengali conducted a survey on All time best Bengalis. Bangabondhu Mujib was selected #1 leaving behind personalities like Tagore, Subhash Chandra Bose, Najrul Islam, J.C. Bose, Satyajit Ray, Muhammad Yunus to name a few. So the self-hate emotion you see only trait of this forum, nothing else.

I think Bangladeshi people will dislike their own country because:

Politicians = are corrupted and no love for own country
AL = doing unnecessary things and dividing the nation
India = BSF killing and BD has nothing to do and many others
BD = Independent but have lots of limitations and very dependent
BD = History changing.

The way I see is that there are major 2 groups in BD. 1 who believes in strict Islam and other is moderate and more secular. The moderate group is in power right now. The people from BD On this forum are majority from 1st group. This group cannot see any moderate thought, for example if BD does something with India they become stooge but if they do the same with Muslim country they are good. So what you are seeing is opinion of one group religiously so inclined and have stronger hate for Hindus that anything associated with Hindus in anyway needs to be criticized. Funny thing is they want to replace their own culture with culture that belongs ti Arabs.

Excellent summary buddy....something i always tried to express in this forum through my 550 or so posts - highlight the image of my country in a good light....

They are the minority people in bangladesh who is afraid of the word ' SECULARISM '.
They use 'PDF ' to get rid of their frustration because of bangladesh returning to SECULARISM(i think they were secular in the begining ).

In short - one Pakistani member summarised it perfectly;

Its some sort of an identity crisis - they are unwanted in Bangladesh because they sympathised with Pakistan during the Liberation war and they are unwanted in Pakistan because they after all are Bengalis.

They are the ones who think their history,origin,everything started with the arrival of some Khaliji and want to dissassociate with everything prior to that.

One of the defining traits of these self-haters (iDune & co, I'm sorry to be taking names but someone has to) is that they are also virulent India-haters. A mixture of radical religion, very selective and biased knowledge and access to a computer.
India is the most convenient scapegoat for their ire because we're "secular". To them, anything that dilutes the supremacy of their religion in the scheme of things is evil.
I'm sure that this is not the case with ordinary Bangladeshis. Despite being born with terrible handicaps, Bangladesh has progressed by leaps and bounds in all spheres and continues to do so. My in-laws are Bengali but Hindu, they recently went to Bangladesh on a visit and they came back singing praises of how clean it was and how friendly the people.

These insecure, fanatical armchair warriors of BD are giving all their countrymen a bad name.
