KMT fought 9 out of 10 biggest engagement against Imperial Army. Even CPC now admit that.

That's irrelevant - KMT still lost almost all major battles. They also killed 1 million Chinese civilians in 花园口决堤事件 which was a man made, KMT responsible humanitarian disaster - possibly considered genocide. IMO there's no point of discussing this topic. You can't compare the actions of KMT in Taiwan to imagine what would happen if it controlled Mainland China. Unlike in Taiwan, if KMT ruled mainland, it would have to face unique challenges on its own, especially the big and diverse population as opposed to Taiwan's small population with little diversity . Just like CCP, KMT would have made mistakes along the way (which could have been more disastrous than the mistakes of CCP). China being a long term ally of US is just not possible considering the potential and strength of China through its large population. Sooner or later, China would pose a great risk to US economic dominance whether ruled by KMT or CCP. Not to mention, KMT also indulged in corruption and that is the reason for the rise of communism in China.

All he did in his "great battles" was completely decimate the institutional core of the ROC military through sheer stupidity. Its like you just can't believe its history and not tragedy.

Here's the difference: PRC had an expeditionary war into Korea against South Korea and US with home advantage. ROC fought right next to its major industrial centers against Japan which was the expeditionary force. BIG difference. An expeditionary war is 100x harder.
