What Pakistan needs is to get rid of corruption. After that focus on both the economy as well as the military. Try to produce indigenous weapons systems as well as consumer goods, Aim for exports to allow the economy to grow. Focus only on the economy and your enemies will squash you, focus only on the military and a day will come when you will be bankrupt, poor, uneducated and won't even be able to afford weapons for your army (an example is North Korea).

And what are the difficulties faced by the people of N Korea. Their's is a country that is one of the poorest in the world. And people like you are telling us to just spend every penny on defence. How are we going to afford an army without money for weapons to arm itself with.
