I was wondering, what Options Pakistan will have if Trump puts sanctions on us. How much US is helping pakistani financially which is helping Pakistan economically and how to overcome such sanctions.

Don't expect any sanctions. This war isn't ending ever. You can't win against legitimate cause in modern world by being occupier. India couldn't do it in IoK despite 700,000 army and territory under their control. Afghanistan is 100 times worse.

US can hit Pakistan hard if they put economic sanctions because US is our biggest export destination also International financial agencies like IMF and world Bank can stop giving financial support and in worst case can ask lending money back.

Our corrupt and incompetent leadership have taken us to this level.

Medium to long term US sanction would be a total gift. Short terms exports would drop but in the medium term it would force us to develop new industries and markets. The lack of easily accessible loans would make Pakistan less attractive to our corrupt politicians. Also it is no longer 1990. We live in a multiple world. China won't be rolling back CPEC, SCO is an alternative market we can try to work with and the Arab world was open to us even during the 90s, that's not going to change now we have better ties. Turkey too is open for business outside of the American realm of influence.

By far the biggest trick we've missed is Africa. It is the market of the future and many of its countries trade with China. Those companies will want CPEC access so won't close doors to Pakistan.

Finally and most importantly we should consider our domestic market. What goods and services are developed in Pakistan and sold to Pakistanis? A large domestic market is always recession proof. US sanctions would force us to focus on our own economy.

This is the bluffs of a weak empire. We should call thier bluff, the statements so far suggest we intend to do just that.

Sir jee I am not worry at all, I made this thread just to have general idea as if and it's big if usa gonna sanction pakistan what will happen. Pakistan is a country who has many allies and good ones. This thread is meant to know the options not for Indian Rona dhona.

Relax.

Pakistan will easily make things tougher in Afghanistan. Lobbies in the US will do the trick. There may be a threat of political instability. And the funds will come again. If not the US, from PRC.

Yes. Turkey, Saudi Arabia will also support IR Pakistan financially. The OIC will back you too. Then there is PRC. And of course Russia. But the last one will be less useful. You dont buy/sell anything substantial with/from them.
