One thing is for sure that the powerful people aka establishment will be having sleepless nights and might be thinking how to calm down the situation. Tomorrow we might see more people joining the protests.

IMHO It would be good for the establishment and the nation to let PTI finish their term or at least govern until the elections, even if it’s under a different PTI leader. The instability this crisis has caused is detrimental to the interests of the nation. If all parties want to go back to being judged on their records, it would be best for all involved and us the people, that PTI be allowed to govern till the elections. At least then it can be said the people re-elected or voted out PTI.

Although, that may still not calm the people down, because it was IK they feel they voted for and no one else. So let’s see what happens tomorrow.

That must've been before the last night fiasco. But after the protests I feel the pressure is building up and all the laan taan is being hurled towards COAS. He might want to calm this down. Remember we have an army of a few millions but we are 22 crore people.

Always good to remain optimistic but in this case, I don’t think the opposition will go back into opposition that easily, now that they think “Purana Pakistan” is back.

IK is smart to be careful of such proposals that blunt his ability to come back with a full mandate from the people. Let the opposition govern for the next 17 months and let the people see the economic record they present come election time, by which time the overseas Pakistanis will have pulled out a significant amount of their money, slowed down remittances and corporate FDI slows down due to the instability.

But any move should have the blessing of IK to ensure the people will accept it, as a temporary compromise until the elections. It’s the only way I could see it would work and have the desired effect to calm the masses and assure the investors.
