What if Pakistani Cricketers can't speak English

It's the American influence actually.

Explain!

Well now you are talking in a total different context, your media and public make fun of Pakistani cricketers English speaking abilities.... here you have dragged in some personal issues. :disagree:

Personal issues?
Which ones??
@Windjammer mian, I can understand ppl living in the sun-continent not understanding English but someone like you who has been living abroad for years now can have no excuse for not comprehending my post.

So let me explain how poor Shoaib Akhtar was trolled by his country men and after an hour of trolling, he corrected the tweet.

Most of developed countries don't take English as a problem for development. South Korea, Japan, China, Russia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thaliand, Italy, Germany, France, Spain, Holland, Portugal, Turkey etc etc etc. English have become a pain in Pakistan and also a reason for many unsuccessful dreams.

Pakistan should make a board of translating the 'knowledge' into Urdu and implement Urdu in every field including science, technology, law, agriculture, social sciences etc. My own english language skills are not too good but learning it from online reading and by social interactions. My so called english medium schooling taught me nothing but few words like paani ko water kehtay hain or Abu ko daddy kehtay hain. This is the story of almost all schools that are charging fees from 500 PKR to 2000 PKR monthly.

The Cambridge/O-Level good schools are charging minimum 15000 PKR. How can these two classes compete in getting jobs and in getting higher education abroad. Schools, hospitals, universities have nothing to deliver in government sector.

I remember one old incident of Ravi shastri when Afridi was unable to speak English. Shastri was asking something to him in English but he realized that Afridi do not speak English and he immediately say sorry and repeated the question in Hindi.

Lol. Indian media never made fun of them. People troll on twitter, and that's what people do on twitter. Dhoni in his initial days didnt know English. Jadeja, Kapil, Shami, Yusuf Pathan, dont speak English on our side. Nothing shameful on that.

I hold a different view. When international players routinely play in leagues where English can be the only medium where direct communication happens, English should be considered a priority.

Not everybody can speak it well but there is no harm in learning it along the way something that Pakistanis don't seem to do. Sachin Tendulkar was one among the few Indian cricketers who did not speak fluently at the start of his career but that changed very quickly. Same with Harbhajan Singh.

English is not a required skill to be a cricketer but is for surely preferred when playing in big leagues.

.
no big deal. english is just a language; i see you guys make a big deal of it.

English is not my language either and i learned it only at the age of 16 to pass the english high school exam. Here english is not primary language.

Brazilian/German/Italian football players don't speak well English or very little to none.

Don't Limit talent to a language which isn't their first language. Rather look at their capability.

For those Indians especially some celebrities who criticised non-English Pakistani cricket players or for that matter anyone who finds it amusing to clutter non-English speakers. Let me ask, why make movies such as 'Sultan' and 'Hindi Medium' which opposes and condemns colonial ideology of English Supremism?
