What do Iranians think about Pakistanis? - Quora
Sam Sinai, Have lived in Iran and the US.
When I was in Iran, I didn't really know much or think about Pakistanis. Frankly, I think Iranians are a bit of a narcissistic nation. We don't compare ourselves to Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iraq, India or Turkmenistan. We think of ourselves as a European-like nation trapped in the middle east. Don't even think of comparing us to Arabs, we just consider ourselves much better. I am not at all of this belief, but I would say it is pretty commonplace inside Iran, especially among those that do not travel much.
Since I moved to US, I had the opportunity to meet a lot of Pakistanis and make friends with a few of them. I can only say extremely positive things: The ones I know are very smart, passionate, kind and reliable friends. Most were usually more religious than the average Iranian from the same social class, but that we the only noticeable difference to me. We share a lot of cultural elements, and we could make very good friends as Iranians and Pakistanis.
