What do German computer scientists think of China's growth?

The truth is that the German public is very suspicious when it comes to China. For instance, many people in Germany simply don't believe in Chinese data.

Germany's most important news magazine:

China's growth data: Too stable to be true
http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/ch...tum-ist-die-statistik-frisiert-a-1130673.html
Why is China's growth data so stable?

Simple, China economy is closely watched, carefully planned and executed. It has targets that the whole of China would be required to reach.

I guess China fudging data could also be used as another explanation. But thinking China could fudge data on year to year basis and over decade while being watched like a hawk by western media is rather unbelievable.

China gov't has planned and structured the economy system in that particular way. Western economist would probably considered that as not possible, but western economist has not the experience of the CCP in this particular kind of system.

Has the westerner ever consider the possibility that if China planned to do something and persevere, that China might be able to actually achieve it?
