West is an enemy of Bharat. Why do PDF members regard them as neutral source of news?

West is an active and covert enemy of Bharat. Why do PDF members regard them as neutral source of news?

I will state only publicly known points. If I state the unknown, readers may dismiss my views as just imagination.
  • A significant officer of RAW, B Raman has stated that the Khalistan terrorism in Punjab was orchestrated by USA and countries like USA, UK, Canada and West Germany were not cooperating with Indian authorities in the fight against Punjab terrorism.
  • A significant personality like the then Prime Minster in 2012 alleged that the anti-nuclear energy protests at Kudankulam nuclear power plant was orchestrated by NGOs sponsored by US and Scandinavian nations. The PM had also alleged that such NGOs were also the reason for the unscientific protests against Genetically Modified crops.
  • Anybody here remember the Purulia arms drop of 1995? It was done by Danish and British nationals.

All this is just a tip of the iceberg. Most of the activities of Western intelligence agencies in India remain classified.

Because the incumbent government is pro-West at best or lackey of the West at worst.

Because the incumbent government is pro-West at best or lackey of the West at worst.

Only the naive think that India considers the West an ally. Indian officials so far have been well aware that all brownies are the same for the West. And so we've touched the whities only with a long pole.

Of course, we've new age idiots who think that the West is an ally against certain imaginary and real threats. Hopefully that doesn't trickle down to Indian diplomacy. The first three-four years of the current govt saw symptoms of this disease. But now they seem to have recovered after getting some jolts.

As for the news, always look for how the source got the news.

At certain points in post-1947 India's past and present, India has been an ally of the West. For example, the Korea War and the 2003 Iraq invasion.

Unfortunate but true.

So when will Pakistan become our
friend?

After Kashmir issue is resolved.

Yes, Kashmir is the main issue to be resolved. I believe Kashmir is automatically solved when India and Pakistan will talk about near-future reunification ( Bangladesh too ) into a greater India.

. .
Its all about interests, West wants India to do its dirty work in Asia, on the other hand India wants jobs and investment.

One needs to distinguish between Western Governments and Western media. The Western media undoubtedly has its prejudices and some like Fox News are examples. But there are enough outlets like Washington Post, NY TIMES, Boston Globe etc which have taken on govt in their own countries - remember they brought down Nixon, turned public opinion in Vietnam War, brought the Catholic church child sex scandal to light.
They are genuinely free to criticize their Governments - please see the video of George W Bush inviting Colbert to the White House Correspondents Dinner where Colbert shredded Bush and his administration through his satire.

In India, we have a tendency of blaming those that don't toe the line as being anti national. Guess what - the job of a journalist is to find flaws in the Govt and bring them to public notice. That is why Arnab is not a journalist.

I don't think west is involved. Khalistan movement for instance, they would have gained much more traction if USA was involved.

. .
and it was only Pakistan who helped indian govt curb them even after what indians did with Pakistan in 71.......really Pakistanis are naive people.

how did pak helped curbing khalistan ? do you believe false stories spread against aitzaj ahsan ?

I don't think west is involved. Khalistan movement for instance, they would have gained much more traction if USA was involved.

west was being misused by terrorists .

Infact in foreign relations no one is friend or enemy of no one. These constructs are vapid imaginations of weak mind who think foreign relations are like sas-bahu T.V. shows.

Foreign relations is a complex game of walking on knife's edge while the sword of Damocles is hanging on top of you specially if you are a second/third world country.

You are getting too theoretical. Reality does not always work this way.

Some relations - for example that between US and UK - are special and not fully driven by Realpolitk. That's because the people of these countries (whites) feel a special bond between themselves.
