Just about every post made on this site will get at least one thumbs down. For just about every possible position a poster can take on any subject, there will be someone who reads it and takes the absolute opposite position.
). A simple thumbs down without a response leaves the OP guessing about why the post was disliked, opening the room for assumptions and kills motivation to post. People are ok with angry react because they believe they have provoked (which might be the agenda), but a thumbs down can mean the post was of poor quality and people don't like that. They are ok with being considered many things, but not mediocre !
