War on terror: 'US asks Pakistan to do more yet fails to compensate'

If the terrorists based in Pakistan start to blow themselves in Europe and other countries then they will isolate you for good. Leverage or no leverage you are expected to do what is right. No amount of money poured into Pakistan will help solve this menace if you harbor hatred towards your neighbours and other western countries in general.

So, if Pakistan is for peace and prosperity then you guys have to eschew all kinds of violence emanating from your country.

Even your neighbours India and Afghanistan want that and have high expectations that you guys will rise up to the challenge.

Stop your terrorists in Baluchistan?

Friendship or Enemity from both sides. Pakistani public wants to cut down relationship with US. We don't care what Trump is going to do.
That is not advisable and neither that sentiment is dominant. Pakistan has too much at stake by ending diplomatic relationship with the US. Only emotional fools think otherwise.

Just because we had a rough ride with the administration of Barack Obama, doesn't means that it will be the same with Donald Trump or another President. Let the man take charge of the office and study this area, then we can talk. We need to start fresh with the administration of Donald Trump and sell them our narrative.

Then stop begging us for more money! or did you not read what started this thread? That'd be quite typical of you guys

Chose your words wisely. What money will be paid to India where you are sharing your bases or its free for Americans??? Put your feet in ones boot before you speak. This is International diplomacy and Politics. And yes we are typical. Take care don't burn your self.

It means stop supporting terrorists. Both Afghanistan and India have and are suffering routinely from this strategy adopted by your military which seems to be scared of letting peace have a chance. Jail jihadi nuts Hafees Sayeed and similar. Come clean with the US. And yes, apologize to that Dr.Afridi and release him. Then and only then can we resume anymore serious aid assistance.

 who are you?? Amreeekann Hindian ? hmmmm sorry we do not recognize to desi browns as American.

As far as Shakeel Afridi is concerned well he is in jail for murdering a tribal so sorry no apology to a murderer.

HS is not American issue. So you Indians should not try to ride US shoulders. You are nobodies when it comes to Pak-US engagements.

Sorry Mods Off topic, but i feel necessary!!

@Tiger Genie,You missed this one from Henry Kissinger

Henry Kissinger comments he made to Nixon during the Bangladesh–Pakistan War in which he described Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi as a "bitch" and a "witch". He also said "The Indians are bastards"

even bollywood writers write better drama than you do! But if you'd like to come back to terra firma, you will realize it is your country wanting more and more money and we simply say buzz off unless you do your job.

Nobody cares what you recognize or don't. You ask for money and we give it you if you do the job you are given. If you don't do it, you don't get paid. Simple.

if you feel let down by Henry Kissinger, don't worry. I will tell him to call you whatever you'd like.
But do try to grow up

The US hasn't contributed one bit to the war on terror and in fact have made things worse. Pakistan did all the work.

once again who is we here ? the desi indians like you??? funny beggars like you cannot claimed to be American.

You guys are sucking on jobs of native Americans just like other immigrants so please stop linking yourself to the American title.

People will say Trump will be hard on Pakistan. I think differently. Trump is a businessman. He likes to make deals; and he'll make one with Pakistan. It will be interesting to see what the terms are.

Pakistani politicians are corrupt, and even the Pakistani don't trust them.
These looters and thiefs want money for themselves; they don't care about the country.

IMHO, Pakistan should not ask for money from American. We needs to build more check posts on Afghanistan border, high security with baggage scan and body scan machines should be imported from America instead of asking for money. We should ask American to pay for these Machines. Some areas of the border should have trench, fence and wall build on it.

I think US administration is still using old Function (F1, F2..) key for saved statements, Statement regarding Pakistan...F1

So you are thinking we are all trying to writing drama for you (Convincing you is not that important dear). read my last post to you, this time carefully. and by the way who are you, stop being spokesperson of USA. And talking about money Pakistan is not employee or servant nor USA is an employer or lord. If USA is quite capable to do what they like us to do go and clean their mess or why don't Indian (a very brotherly country of Afghanistan) go and help American you can do what a superpower can't do. Not every thing is simple is easy as bomb and run away, IRAQ, AFGHANISTAN and SYRIA are few example of failures. I don't think I will will take you seriously.

Once again read the opening post of this thread. It is your official begging us for more money; and we will give you some if you do the job right. So far you guys have been screwing up pretty bad.

Time to send American consulates and embassies packing.............we don't see eye to eye on many issues, don't trust each other and Americans keep lying and bitching. There is no point in keeping any diplomatic ties either. They should leave our country and our diplomats should come back to Pakistan. There is no point of having a relationship when one side keeps helping the other and the other just keeps bitching.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Tariq Fatemi said the United States is not willing to release the amount due from the Coalition Support Fund (CSF) which has already been spent by Pakistan and yet claims Pakistan has 'not done enough' in the ongoing war on terror.

"The US is not willing to release the funds from CSF which we have already spent on the war on terror, yet they (US officials) always complain about our lack of efforts," said Fatemi.

Fatemi was speaking with DawnNews anchor Amber Shamsi on Monday.

"Pakistan's role in the war on terror has been unprecedented, and the country has achieved immense success. The work done by Pakistan has not been done by any European country or the US," added the special assistant to the prime minister.

He said the credit for the success goes to the elected leadership and the stakeholders, the armed forces.

'Pakistan is not isolated'
Answering a question regarding India's attempt to isolate the country on the international front, Fatemi rubbished claims that Pakistan has suffered due to India's ongoing efforts.

"I do not agree that Pakistan has been isolated diplomatically."

He was of the opinion that India's refusal to attend the Saarc conference was more damaging to the region as a whole rather than Pakistan.

"India does not forgive any country. Nepal's Saarc summit was sabotaged by India. Maldives and Sri Lanka's Saarc summit was also sabotaged by India," added Fatemi.

He further added that India uses the Saarc summit as a means to pressurise other countries.

"All major international countries are of the opinion that the only way forward towards progress is through regional cooperation."

He said Saarc is the only organisation in the region present for regional cooperation, and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was to present proposals for cooperation which would have benefited every country in the region.

'Central Asia is a major area of activity'
Talking in regards to Russia and the Central Asian states, Fatemi said Central Asia was a blank spot in the foreign policy of Pakistan and, "measures have been taken to rectify the situation."

He said relations with Russia was an area with significant problems due to the history between the two countries.

"Now we are bringing the Russians on board various projects in the country and increasing defence cooperation," stated the special assistant to the premier.

"Pakistan's foreign policy was not geared towards Central Asia, and it was a blank spot for which we had no direction. Now, it has become a major area of activity for us," said the special assistant.

He said Pakistan is now getting political support from the region after the shift in policy, along with economic, energy and power projects.

"Using the connectivity, we will utilise the Central Asian states to enter Europe. The idea is to be connected to further deepen our ties."

"We are also discussing a road from Gwadar which would connect to the Pak-Iran border and beyond. Another option present is to make another diversion on the Karakoram Highway before Xinjiang and enter Kyrgyzstan," added Fatemi.

US always makes deal with Pakistan military establishment to execute their back door diplomacy. Otherwise, Pakistan civilian Gov usually takes up sane decision to engage with US in a more respectable way.
