This is exactly how i have been feeling lately.
MQM destroyed, Karachi open for the taking, IK no where to be seen
Nawaz Sharif disqualified, PMLN was on the verge of falling apart with infighting between SS and Maryam Safdar but IK was no where to be seen
All i hear is IK is trying to get all the same old useless, corrupt law-makers that are the reason that Pakistan is in this mess.
Come on Imran Khan. This is the do or die moment. Please don't let us down
We have to accept the fact that IK is not made for Pakistani politics.. In any western democracy, he would have won the elections in 2000 after just 4 years of struggle..
We are push start people.. always need constant pushing by someone... I think PTIs campaign is over for 2018... no chance in Punjab.
What I suggest to IK/ PTI is that he should now focus on KP. In the next elections, KP will again be won by them, and probably with overwhelming majority unlike last time when they had to get blackmailer JI on board to form government.
Once PTI/ IK win in KP, they should again focus on the following:
1 - Education (standard of government schools should be increased to surpass that of private schools, establishment of technical colleges, world class research universities)
2 - Continue with the initiatives they stated in health sector
3 - Training police in counter terrorism
4 - Providing more security to tourism spots to attract foreigners who bring dollars.. even if it requires special efforts or formation of a special force just for the security of tourists
5 - Establishment of English and Chinese language institutes for technical workforce so that call center business can be snatched from other countries
6 - Passing a law that allows electricity produced by the private public partnerships to be consumed within KP and then work on solar parks and wind farms through private investors.
7 - Providing heavy subsidies to the industries in power charges and providing security to the investors (again, even if a special unit needs to be raised, they should do it) so that industry could shift to KP from other provinces.
8 - Starting projects just like DHA and Bahria Town so that people from other provinces and overseas Pakistanis can invest in them.. This will earn them huge revenue and remittances into the province.
9 - Continuing with the forestation projects, this time the target should be at least 3 billion trees.. It will add income to poor villagers. Also, efforts should be made to plant apple, pomegranate, olives, grapes and other fruit trees so that additional revenue can be added from the export of these fruits to different countries..
10 - Formation of grass lands (KPs soil is ideal in this regard) and give small portions of the land to different investors where cattle can be raised on natural feed.. bring European, Canadian and US inspectors to inspect the cattle so that they can issue "Organic" certificate and we could export the meat and milk to other countries at three times the price.. Huge revenue is awaiting..
I have many more cheap ideas that KP government can work on in its next tenure.. specially that peace is coming back to the province.. IK should give his energy to the people who deserve him more.. who have trusted him.. rather than running after those who like to have leaders like NS and Zardari or Altaf Hussain..
