Vote on Iranian nuclear issue

Lets do a forum vote on whether or not people support Iran becoming a nuclear weapons power.



I personally do not support Iran acquiring nuclear weapons if Iran tries to pursue it should be prevented, however I am okay with Iran acquiring civil nuclear technology for energy purposes only and possibly under IAEA supervision.

It's a matter of Iranians deciding what's best for them and right now the majority of the Iranian public, as well as the leadership, is against weapons. There have been many polls done on this issue and only a minority of Iranian public wants nukes. The leadership is also against nuclear weapons.

Yes, I support Iran getting nuclear weapons. (Even though there is no evidence that they are doing that).

Look at the current nuclear weapons states. America, Russia, China, Britain, France (the five NPT-recognized nuclear weapon states). As well as Pakistan, India, North Korea and Israel.

Can anyone honestly say that Iran is less responsible than these countries? I don't think so. In fact Iran has not invaded any other country in the past few centuries.

In comparison, in the past decade alone we have had the invasion of Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Lebanon, Georgia and Gaza.

I would have no problem seeing Iran get nukes, I have faith in Iran but then the Arabs and Turks would acquire them too and that would be just too explosive. Too dangerous for the world .

Also, we have countries like America/Israel threatening to attack or even nuke Iran.

We went through a similar experience as well. General MacArthur openly threatened to nuke China (in desperation) as American forces were forced to retreat out of North Korea during the 1950 Korean War, after the Chinese intervention.

Which is why we developed our own nuclear weapons soon after, along with ICBM's and nuclear armed ballistic missile submarines.

If Iran had nukes, America/Israel would be forced to stop their bullying, just as they were forced to stop bullying North Korea when they acquired nuclear weapons capability.

I don't think Iranian should have Nuclear weapon, infact i want every country that have nuclear weapon to disarm their nuclear weapon, as long as there are nuclear weapon, there are possibility tahat itcould be end of the world because of it.

I don't want anyone to have nuclear weapon, those who don't have should stop researching it, those it had should have dismentle and disarming it.

Iran is a signatory of the NPT, acquiring nuclear weapons would be illegal and a major violation of International law then again this outlaw nation may not care so it's activities regarding nuclear technology should be supervised by IAEA.

How about you stop getting manipulated so well by others that you have to always dont have to find yourself pitted against a fellow Muslim country? How about for once your line reads "Yes, Israel has nukes we should build our own." So what if they are Shia or Sunni? When did God appoint you to decide their fate and pick fights with them? The divide and conquer strat is working so well all across Muslim countries including Pakistan that its truly pathetic how little the brain is utilized and how emotions always win.

So what if Iran is bombed like Iraq and stopped from being capable? Only means you are next on the list. And by that time it might to too late of a realization.

Chinis would obviously support anybody anti Usa or anti India to have nukes.

But it depends upon Iranians. Their country, their wish. Make bombs of whatever kind you like.

In this forum, i would guess this:

Iranians 100% (all say yes)
Pakistanis 80%% (majority say yes to balance the region)
Chinese???
Indians 50% (half and half -- undecided--maybe due to relationship with Israel)
Turks: ??
Saudis 0% (No of course thats their enemy)
