This is a popular video on the open web. Can anyone understand how exactly this exploded mid-air.

S-300 Surface-to-Air Missile Strange Failure

Between 0:29 to 0:33 seconds something opens up from the sky, like a blue light out of nowhere, followed by a very quick burst of light from right, travelling left, the blue light closes. Shortly after the missile explodes. [Please play video at 0.25 speed]

Can anyone explain this phenomenon.

The missile self-destructed for safety reasons.

All of this happens really quickly in the order of the pictures above, you might miss it.

Does anyone know, what this is? I have seen other evidence of unknown strange objects interacting with weapons to make them fail. I am trying to figure out what they are.

these are all lens flares due to the angle of sunlight.

these are all lens flares due to the angle of sunlight.

That's, what I thought at first glance. Those objects have their own light source. Lens flare would be if you are pointing directly at the sun. The beam is clearly identifiable. Lens flare example:

Here's an example of a PAC-3 Missile Failure

At first glance you may think that it is lens flare or camera reflections etc, You have to look really close. Its very subtle. You can tell something is strange by the object being it own light source and the the movement of the object as compared with camera movement that can discount camera effects.

7s - object has unknown light source

8s - object has its own light source.

Here is an example of Iron Dome Failure

The triangular formation is normal, that's Iron Dome Technology, Its the unusual presence of other light sources that cause the failure of the rockets.

Is this even a serious topic? Military veterans describes same object

Independent footage of the object the Navy veteran describes above (different incident)
