The anti war movement is nowhere near as large.

Its global on the internet. Since pro-war elements of the US are no longer just in the US, it has to be fought against Zardaris of Pakistan, against Karzais of Afghanistan and so on. Each and every pro-US person on the planet is facing anti-war resistance. Its the new age, on the internet, on the streets, outside of the white house you'll see us everywhere 24x7.

Its a bloody good start coupled with the occupy movements and the unoccupy movements, the next decade would be an anti-war decade and you will find resistance on every step you take.

antiwar people have always been global. protesters can influence their respective Governments but have virtually no impact on foriegn Governemnt decisions. The hardcore antiwar protesters that march and throw their medals have little public support in the US.

Don't mistakenly compare the actions of those in the pictures as typical with broad public support. people may want to start drawing down the troops and transfer operations over to the Afghan Government (which was always going to happen). But that doesn't mean they don't support the troops or why we were there in the first place.

The US occupy movement was actually small in size and chaotic in it's messages. today they have pretty much disapeared as a result.

What about those who did not discard their medals?
