Most of south asian muslim names have impact of Arabic and Persian.
Example Gulnezar is from Persian
Gul mean flower
Nezar mean sight
Almost every educated muslim in south Asia have little know how about Arabic and Persian.
These names are being used in Pakistani Pushtoons also.
So we dont need to know uyghr for recognizing these names.

They are Persian names and we have them as well especially in our Northern areas. Also Uyghur language is actually a variety of Turkish language, similar to the language spoken by Uzbek, Kazakh, Turkman, Tatars in Russia, Qashqai in Iran, Azeri and Bashkir of Russia.

Did you also know that this area is also called East Turkestan or Uyghuristan because of the language affiliation or ethnic affiliation.

Also we have a small community of Uyghur people in Pakistan that migrated here about 30-40 yrs ago. Mostly around Gilgit.

Sorry if i carried on too much, i just love history & culture.

This name is an invention of Russian when they conquered Central Asia. Before Russia Empire expanded eastward into Central Asia, Qing is the de facto hegemony of Central Asia, most Central Asia kingdoms presented tribute to Qing after Jungar Mongol were crushed by Qing, these even included Badakhshan (Tajikistan Pamirs and part of Northern Afghanistan).

Chinese history book never recognize this name.

Although "nazar" means sight or view, Gulnazar possibly implies that her eyes are as beautiful as roses.
Or that she's as beautiful as a rose when you look at her.

Or, since "nazar" is also short for the amulet used for evil-eye, it could mean that even the roses are jealous of her.

(Our Chinese members may find it interesting that "Dilruba" is one of the go to words when you start a song.)

Two things I don't like about her is that she rides a heavy motorcycle and keeps her hair short.

Otherwise she is pretty, especially with her dimples.

I can understand, but I love both Panra type and Panag type. If I had to pick one, I might go for Gul Panra, but I want my share of short haired butches once in a while.
