US urges Muslim nations to condemn China's Xinjiang abuses

.
US is so eager to bring everyone on its anti China wagon, EU, Africa,Asia, Muslim world.., to no avail for the most part. Funny thing is after US withdrew from Human Rights Concil, it is not even a member of the orgnization while still tries to pull strings on it and dodge the bullets coming its own way at the same time.

US also argued and ensured complete immunity for its soldiers that were involved in civilian rape and killing in Iraq and Afghanistan during the war on terror.

I can understand US frustration, after so much effort made, almost no Muslim countries fall for this lie, US disappointment must be beyond words.

Now everyone can see that their target is China, they fear China so much to a point that they need to bring everyone against China to feel secure, now US behaves like an insecure little girl.

They are often at the receiving end of many jokes at the UN. Their words of humanity are taken as the biggest joke of the past 100 years. No country was laughed at almost universally at the UNGA.

The US has entirely lost its credibility. No Hollywood or media propaganda can save it.

Hey what's with the OP switching the title to a broken English one?

Why shouldn't US condemn Israel and stop her from forcefully bulldozing Palestinian homes?

I am not asking for Muslims only, even Christians are not safe from the wrath of Israelis..

I have one Palestinian Christian working with me, he tells me that he is not allowed to go back, while other christians are allowed to enter Israeli occupied territories.. So he is planning to apply for an Australian nationality to at least see what his parents owned a few decades back!

When will US stop supporting Israeli actions against innocent Palestinians (Muslims and Christians both)?

US is busy with recognizing Jerusalem as the eternal capital of Israel and hopes to lead by example after it moved embassy there.

U.S. Dropped 26,171 Bombs on 7 Muslim-Majority Countries in 2016

written by Ben Norton / AlterNet January 10, 2017

President Obama's last year in office was marked by heavy bombing in the Middle East and South Asia.

The last year of the presidency of Nobel Peace Prize laureate Barack Obama was marked by heavy bombing throughout the Middle East and South Asia. The United States dropped at least 26,171 bombs in seven Muslim-majority countries in 2016. And, given limitations on available government data, this estimate is "undoubtedly low," according to the Council on Foreign Relations' Micah Zenko and Jennifer Wilson, who conducted the research.

Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen, Somalia, and Pakistan were the countries targeted by U.S. airstrikes. 2016 saw an increase in bombing since 2015, when the U.S. dropped at least 23,144 bombs on six Muslim-majority countries (Libya was the seventh country bombed in 2016).

Most of the bombs, 24,287, used in 2016 were dropped in Iraq and Syria, where the U.S. is leading a coalition to fight the self-declared Islamic State. Afghanistan was hit with at least 1,337 bombs. The war in Afghanistan entered its 15th year in 2016, one of the longest standing wars in U.S. history. President Obama was reelected in 2012 on the promise to end the war in 2014, but he prolonged and even expanded it multiple times.

Another 496 bombs were dropped by the U.S. in Libya. The U.S. quietly launched an air campaign in the oil-rich North African country in 2016 in order to beat back Islamic State militants. NATO carried out a regime change operation in Libya in 2011, toppling the government of longtime leader Muammar Qadhafi and plunging the nation into chaos. Extremist groups filled the void, and ISIS established in Libya its largest so-called caliphate outside of Iraq and Syria.

The U.S. also carried out dozens of airstrikes in Yemen, Somalia and Pakistan, three countries where the U.S. has carried out covert drone wars for years. Hundreds of civilians have been killed in drone strikes in these countries, according to a conservative estimate by the Bureau of Investigative Journalism. The Obama administration released a report in July claiming just 64 to 116 civilians have been killed in its drone assassination program, but experts say this is a gross underestimate.

I guess the US regime thinks "the more you bomb them, the harder they love you."

I have to admit that withdrawing from UNHRC was the smartest decision that US ever made, China should follow suit and let small guys to play by themselves.

I am so thankful to God that US's influence on Pakistan has ended.. We don't care about US anymore..

Our new PM has neither decided to visit US, nor requested the US president to visit us..

I did my MA thesis on extra-judicial drone strikes under Obama administration and looked at several cases, including Pakistan.

The numbers spiked under Obama (probably he wanted to erase some of the bad publicity created under Bush) as the US probably thought killing with drone strikes did not generate as much public outcry as manned-strikes.

No country should forget the atrocities brought upon them by the Western colonialists and imperialists, including by the US.

The United States disappointed at the failure of Muslim nations to jointly take a stand against China

AFP | Geneva Last Updated at March 14, 2019 08:00 IST

The United States has voiced disappointment at the failure of Muslim nations to jointly take a stand against China's treatment of its Uighurs and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang province.

"We are, I can say, disappointed about the lack of response from members of the OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation), and the lack of outspoken concern," said US Ambassador Kelley Currie, who heads the State Department's Office of Global Criminal Justice.

Currie was speaking to reporters ahead of a US-sponsored event at UN headquarters in Geneva focused on allegations of mass-internment of Uighurs in China's restive Xinjiang province.

While she applauded Turkey for its recent strong criticism of China's treatment of its Muslim minorities, she said Washington had hoped the IOC would have collectively condemned the situation in Xinjiang as it has done regarding rights abuses against Muslims in Myanmar and Syria.

A statement from OIC foreign ministers earlier this month failed to reflect concern about the situation, she said, describing this as "disappointing and frustrating".

Her comments came as Washington released its annual human rights report, in which it maintained that China had "significantly intensified its campaign of mass detention of members of Muslim minority groups in Xinjiang".

During the event in Geneva, Currie and other speakers, including experts and an alleged former detainee in a Xinjiang re-education camp, made similar charges, eliciting a strong reaction from a Chinese diplomat in the room.

"We strongly object to this anti-China side-event sponsored by the US mission," said the diplomat, who didn't give his name, charging that the event was "obviously driven by a political agenda".

"There are no so-called concentration camps in Xinjiang," he said, reiterating Beijing's claims that it is combating separatism and religious extremism through vocational education.

One of the speakers, Adrian Zenz, a China security expert at Germany's European School of Culture and Theology, meanwhile charged that China's so-called vocational training centres were "a mask for an unprecedented campaign of coercive social reengineering".

"What we are witnessing in Xinjiang is nothing less than a systematic campaign of cultural genocide," he said, warning that other regions with large Muslim minorities could soon suffer a similar fate.

The event, which was also backed by Britain, Canada, Germany and the Netherlands, took place on the sidelines of the UN Human Rights Council and not before the main UN rights body itself.

The administration of US President Donald Trump decided to slam the door on that council last year.

One of the panellists, John Fisher, who heads Human Rights Watch's Geneva office, suggested Washington was partially to blame for the lack of broader international condemnation of the situation in Xinjiang.

"One of the challenges is that the main state that has been willing to stand up to China in the past no longer engages with the Human Rights Council," he said. "There is a gap of leadership.

You used Muslim against sovite union and Muslims were stupid that time.. but not now.. fight your war yourself.. dear USA.. or ask your son isreal to fight for you.. Muslims are done with your dirty politics

. . . .
We are solidly behind China and appreciate their kind and thoughtful gestures to their Muslim populations and to Muslim nations in general.

Muslims have matured and realized who is the main culprit in promoting wars and divisions among us: US, EU, Israel, and India.

Russia and China are not our enemies. We won’t fight them for you.
