This is not a coincidence. Average americans purchase capacity has not increased since the late 90s, when inflation is taken into account.
Which means there is a huge demand of cheap goods. China provides good for decent prices, which benefits average americans. America simply wont be able to produce those goods with that same competitive price tag.

China did a masterstroke here. She did her history lesson and knew that US capital owners could be lured to relocate their production to China and sell them back in America with higher profit.

In many ways the rise of China was driven by a understanding between chinese policymakers and US capital owners.

Its unlikely USA ever will manage to go back to a industry dominated economy. What China did was the Art Of War. China used americas biggest strength, its capitalist class, against it. It reminds me of certain eastern martial art where you simply outmanouver your opponent by redirecting his attack against himself.

If she wanted to, she could redistribute the money so that common american could benefit. But insted she choose to fight mindless wars and let the superrich accumulate the dollars.
Raw capitalism without redistribution policies, is a recipe for disaster on the long run. Because the currency in circulation get accumulated in the hands of capital owners. Money that otherwise would stimulate the economy.

I don't think their rulers care that much anyway. The occasional noise is mainly just cia upset about losing shares in their own cocain, heroin businesses.
