Pakistan has always been the most natural ally of America in the region. Nothing new to this.
How wisely it for America to left one in hand to grab two in bush?

If our electrical infrastrcuture goes underground , kunda system will fail 100% and electric company will generate revenues
After China gave Pakistan 3 WZ-10 helicopters America suddenly approves selling to Pakistan the AH-1 Viper. After China signs a mega investment agreement with Pakistan America is willing to help provide Pakistan with 3000MW of electricity. If the terms are good then Pakistan should accept.
people will simply start messing with their meters. or uuse a kunda just before there meers. If our electrical infrastrcuture goes underground , kunda system will fail 100% and electric company will generate revenues
In first phase , mepco , hesco and sesco should be privatiseed , but the progress is slow , it must be done soon.people will simply start messing with their meters. or uuse a kunda just before there meers.
smart meters, smart grids and making electricity at a logical /affordable price is the solution.
ironically asian bank loan of 1.5 billion dollars for this purpose(that was negotiated by PPPP govt) was rejected by current government on two accounts
1. we cant implement it
2. we are privatizing companies "soon"
Not sudden! America has been in love with Pakistan since 1950. You can never ever forget your first love, can you?Good gesture from the US.
But why the sudden surge in goodwill from them?

govt cant privatize loss making companies yet, it will first privatize good companies like Islamabad. although this will be a good move however alone it will change nothing, as the companies which are to be privatized are already performing good. the real problem lies in companies like Hyderabad where power losses are high.In first phase , mepco , hesco and sesco should be privatiseed , but the progress is slow , it must be done soon.
This will be way more costly and inefficient. This is a better optionIf our electrical infrastrcuture goes underground , kunda system will fail 100% and electric company will generate revenues
As much as I agree with more power generation, I think refurbishing the existing transmission infrastructure to make it more efficient is equally important. Nests of criss-crossed cables dangling from bamboo sticks is not the most efficient way to conduct electricity and causes short-circuits, transformer blow-outs and electricity theft. The entire system needs to be revamped and have automatic monitoring systems in place to calculate the electricity being transmitted and consumed.
